You are thinking too small RBB.

As you need to count preseason, interclub, practice matches as well as training.

    I remember him as a player but did not support the Dees at the time. But from what I been told he is exactly what I respect in a player. Loyal, team player, cares about the Club and was a supporter before becoming a player.

    Players like this are rare and deserve the respect from all Club Supporters. He will be missed by many including non-mfc supporter. The guy was clearly a legend of the game as well as a great guy to boot.

    I have 1,000 times more respect for a player who loves a Club so much they will not move to a more successful Club. Great player do not have to play in grand final winning teams.

    As I did my research on him by watching old games in which he was a player. I too had a tear or two.

    Unfortunately DF there is little footage of him.

    In those days the VFL only had two games a week on TV and as we were crap we did not get too many game televised or recorded.

    I went week after week just to see him.

    Everything you hear is correct.

    If he played with a good side his reputation would be way higher, Reputations are solidified in finals and Grand finals.

    IF he had played with Hawthorn or Carlton at the time he would have won a norm Smith I have no doubt.

    I didn't go to one game this year OD.....Watched on tele or just got the scores on the computer

    I always thought soccer was frustrating and boring....well footy is becoming the same.....No goals in quarters or halfs , players that I really liked...Gone. I will remain a member but find going to the footy a bore.

    I used to think that Aussie Rules was way better at the game now I think it is better on TV as you do not see as much of the rolling malls

    and because you only see a small part of the ground so almost never see half the ground with no one in it or 100 players coming on and off the ground all day.

    Visually it is now crap IMO.

      Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.

      The Casey Demons issued a strong statement to the remaining teams in the VFL race with a thumping 76-point victory in their Elimination Final against Williamstown. This was the sixth consecutive win for the Demons, who stormed into the finals from a long way back with scalps including two of the teams still in flag contention. Senior Coach Taylor Whitford would have been delighted with the manner in which his team opened its finals campaign with high impact after securing the lead early in the game when Jai Culley delivered a precise pass to a lead from Noah Yze, who scored his first of seven straight goals for the day.       It was yet another disappointing outcome in a disappointing year, with Melbourne missing the finals for the second consecutive season. Indeed, it wasn’t even close, as the Demons' tally of seven wins was less than half the number required to rank among the top eight teams in the competition. When the dust of the game settled and supporters reflected on Melbourne's  six-point defeat at the hands of close game specialists Collingwood, Max Gawn's words about his team’s unfulfilled potential rang true … well, almost.
