Actually his recent form is patchy. He's not that far ahead considering he's bigger bodied and had an extra preseason but go right ahead living in your depressing fantasy world. In my world Watts is progressing slowly with great skills but is showing a lack of aggression at this time.

"Roost it" I think you need "very" in there.

Yes Hurley is patchy but has shown so much more. Will Watts be a better player, maybe. Will Watts be a very good player, I think so as he has all the attributes. But he has struggled and isn't in our best 22 at this point. The subject is Watts vs Hurley and Hurley wins hands down.

My only fear at this stage of his career is that the characteristics I have identified are closely aligned to the last number 1 draft pick we picked!

Funny how the Watts v Natanui debate has been replaced by this one.

Cheer yourself up - who was better on Thursday Watts or NikNat? Natanui did very little in a dominant side whereas Watts was one of the few who showed some spirit for us. We made the right choice (though saying that about anything is almost heresy on this site at the moment)

NicNat, will be a very good player, no doubt.

If Watts keeps up what he done Thursday night he will become a star, 20-25 more games and he will be doing 90% of what people are expecting of him.

Jack Watts is progressing just fine, pity some of his older team are not backing him up at present.

It's getting ridiculous. Now you're saying that "at present" Jack Watts isn't being backed up by his senior teamates.

"At present" of course implies that this has been happening for some time. This is the same Jack Watts who was nearly dropped two weeks ago, but instead was made the sub. He's now put one good game together in a row.
