Quarter time scores Casey 2.2 to 6.3. Casey so far given away 3 50m penalties resulting in 2 goals. Kicked into the opposition man about half a dozen times which just about sums up the rabble they are

Warnock here but not playing. Looks fit and ready. We can guess what that means for tomorrow

Strauss now had three kicks out of defense and missed two targets easily. Two goals resulted.

Juice Newton kicks his second but a Strauss kick off hits an opponent for an easy goal. Port lead by 31 points and looking the goods.

Half time and Port lead by 42 points after dominating the first half.

Casey Scorpions 5.5.35

Port Melbourne 12.5.77

Goals Casey Scorpions Newton 2, Maric Petterd Wall

Casey, with 15 AFL listed players, are being taught a lesson by the stand alone Borough team which is playing with great endeavour and moving the ball around the ground like pros. Garry Ayres should be putting up his hand to coach AFL. I appreciate that it's probably easier to coach a group of players he has at his disposal every week but Port simply looks better all over the ground in every facet.

Prospects for promotion next week?

Only Joel Macdonald.

Half time Casey 5.5 to Port 12.5 Goals juice 2, Pettard, Maric, Wall.

Most of the time Casey are playing like the demons second half last week . Bright spots Tom McDonald who look all class when he gets the ball, and Joel is playing a solid game also.

I can see why Pettard was dropped . he doesn't chase, neither does Jetta, neither does Maric, juicesometimes but is very wasteful.

Strauss should be playing Casey seconds, Howe should be promoted.

This is too much like last week, I'm going home to read a book!

that sounds to me like there is a doubt on Garland

Yeah, that's what I thought when I read that Warnock wasn't playing.

With three goals already it sounds like Newton might be playing another decent game, despite Casey getting pummelled.

Yeah, that's what I thought when I read that Warnock wasn't playing.

It's standard practice to pick one of the emergencies to not play ANY footy on the weekend, just in case someone gets sick tomorrow morning, or gets hurt during warmup etc etc... they never play all three emergencies in the VFL.

Juice... is on the way to a ton in the VFL. :D

If he ever came into the Dees side and did anything, MFC are geniuses.

    GAMEDAY: Rd 16 vs Brisbane

It's Game Day and the Dees are deep in the heart of enemy territory as they take on the Lions in Brisbane under the Friday Night Lights at the Gabba. Will the Demon finally be awakened and the season get back on track or will they meekly be sacrificed like lambs to the slaughter?

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.
