My biggest problem with Stafford is he makes really bad mistakes, and then make another equally as dumb soon after.

McVay doesn’t help, he loves the big throwing plays and will call some weird plays and what’s worse, like the niners game McVay calls and plays conservatively, especially late in games.

The media was talking about an over reliance on OBJ. As a neutral I thought they could have tossed it his way more, just the 5 targets. But Stafford was hell bent on going to him on that last play, perhaps that was one of those McVay calls.

Prob cos he saved our butts vs the Ravens.

Yeah we try and force it to OBJ occasionally, tbh I’d be looking more to Higbee in those situations. His matchup with Kupp and OBJ taken the best 3 usually is most favourable.

Rams lose their defensive play caller for the year, Rapp also under concussion protocol. Their solution? A guy 23 months retired…

Pre season they were my AFC choice to make the SB. I must admit they have had a stuttering year, but looking very very good.

The Bills were ultra-impressive today, Gorg

Their issue is that they are almost certainly @ KC next week (barring a Steelers win)

So as good as they were today, can they beat the Chiefs on the road?

The Chiefs D is the Key, if they can get on top of KC defence early and put up points and make Mahomes and the O chase them, then they are a big chance. Chiefs O has been much better of late, but like the pats of old, the O Usually starts with good field position or with a maintained lead they can try and build on.

Bills were incredible. No mean feat to come into Foxboro but Josh Allen looked like he was playing flag football.

Some big score blowouts in the Super Wildcard weekend so far. Does anyone else think the extra week of games is too much?
As a Niners fan I'd say no now, am still riding that high from this morning, but it really seems some mediocre teams made the playoffs this year.

Was also talking to a friend who doesn't follow the NFL, but does follow AFL about how it all works, and we both wondered when the AFL may try and introduce a 'Wildcard Weekend' given less than half the team currently make the finals.

Been saying to mates for ages, Cowboys are like Carlton, entitled overrated crud. Add McCarthy who I still reckon is a poor coach who was lucky to have Rodgers and co at GB.

Andthen you hear Prescott say “All credit to them” when asked about the fans throwing things at the refs.
Refs didn’t lose you the game, you did. You ran too far, didn’t know the rules and botched it yourselves, oh the bazillion yards of penalties and missing wide open receivers also was a factor. What a nonce, I hope the league fine him a massive amount.

I'm 50/50 on 9th & 10th playing finals in the AFL ... good for the clubs involved and the supporter groups but it dilutes the strength of the finals.  If they brought it in I wouldn't be bothered

As for the NFL, I haven't been tuned in as compared to previous years but it seems that the Steelers, Eagles and Raiders fell into the playoffs whilst the Pats got found out as well

Niners did well though (against Dallas) and now you have a match-up at Lambeau next week against my Packers ... and if Rodgers is rusty, you're a definite chance

Should be a good game regardless, given the recent history between the 2 clubs

The game is on next Sunday 12.15pm (AEDT) so that's ideal!

  • Welcome to Demonland: Steven King

The Melbourne Football Club has selected a new coach for the 2026 season appointing Geelong Football Club assistant coach Steven King to the head role.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.

  • AFLW REPORT: Collingwood

Expectations of a comfortable win for Narrm at Victoria Park quickly evaporated as the match turned into a tense nail-biter. After a confident start by the Demons, the Pies piled on pressure and forced red and blue supporters to hold their collective breath until after the final siren. In a frenetic, physical contest, it was Captain Kate’s clutch last quarter goal and a missed shot from Collingwood’s Grace Campbell after the siren which sealed a thrilling 4-point win. Finally, Narrm supporters could breathe easy.
