Justin Westoff

Forget David Hale.

Justin Westoff should be our man! Forward/Ruck. 24 years old. 197cm & 90kg.

Three way trade.

Walker to Port

Westoff to Melbourne

Bate or Warnock to Carlton (prefer too trade Bate)

I believe Westoff is a perfect fit at FF for us. Can ruck too! In our age bracket. Bails and Mahoney should try hard to win him over.

His brother Mathew is 198cm & 89kgs too. We might be able to win both Westoff's! Trade a Cheney too Port for Mathew Westoff.

Thoughts?

There younger brother is on Richmonds list too. Some added incentive too come too Melbourne.

If my memory is correct. He was mentioned in trades last season linked to both Melbourne & Essendon.

For me, he needs more muscle for a 24 y/o.

He's still skinny as... we really need someone up front who can bust packs and be dependable, of which I don't think Justin Westoff is...

Gippy

We make him available! And he ain't as skinny as what people think anymore. Another 5kgs maybe handy! But not absolutely necessary... Perfect fit for mine!

I hope the FD seriously consider a player like Westoff who still has plenty of upside and improvement. He is a player who needs to go to the next level and our FD will take him there. He looks a little stale at Port and a move could do him a world of wonders!

To me he has a bit too much of the TJ syndrome about him

I think by 2012 Watts would be more solid than Westhoff.

I am really looking for a more solid type.

And a better ruckman.

He started his career very promising with the youth and give him time excuses to cover up his deficiences in his strength... Still hasn't come on and has been passed by alot of the power forward line...

Warnock is much much more valuable. If we were to target him it would only be for a third or fourth round pick or a swap of fringe players.

Poor man's Jack Watts for mine

Westoff is a goalkicker who is deceptively good in the air for someone with such a light frame. He would cost us pick 32 which is what we were willing to hand over for Hale.

Yes, but Hale gave us a forward and some ruck relief for Jamar.

I would prefer Johnson to ruck over Westhoff.

He's an option but he's a waif.

I think a forwardline of Westoff, Watts, Jurrah, Petterd and at times Bennell and Morton is a tad on the skinny side.

He may not be as skinny as he used to be, but Westoff doesn't impose himself at all anyway.

He is 24! Expect too see his best football over the next 5 years... Prime time to get him before his value rises. Port are trying to mould him into the next Tredrea!

Trading Bate and gaining Westoff is a goer for mine...

Cale Morton's body with Travis Johnstones brain aint a good mix.

I was wondering where you'd been, dee_tention.

And you've stayed true to form.

Westhoff is a lazy, weak and slow hack that I want nothing to do with.

Bate has been re-signed, so he wont be going anywhere.

Idisagree slightly- By 2011 he will be more solid- because he is now.

LOL

Oh my god! Deetention is back!

Where have you been hiding?

Let's trade PJ, pick 63, Newton, Bell & Miller for pick 4!

Maybe throw in Maric to get the deal over the line!

Majak Daw is the next ablett!

It’s been a season of grit, growth, and glimpses of brilliance—mixed with a few tough interstate lessons. Now, with finals looming, the Dees head to Kardinia Park for one last tune-up before the real stuff begins.

  • DRAFT: The Next Generation

It was not long after the announcement that Melbourne's former number 1 draft pick Tom Scully was departing the club following 31 games and two relatively unremarkable seasons to join expansion team, the Greater Western Giants, on a six-year contract worth about $6 million, that a parody song based on Adele's hit "Someone Like You" surfaced on social media. The artist expressed lament over Scully's departure in song, culminating in the promise, "Never mind, we'll find someone like you," although I suspect that the undertone of bitterness in this version exceeded that of the original.

  • AFLW REPORT: Brisbane

A steamy Springfield evening set the stage for a blockbuster top-four clash between two AFLW heavyweights. Brisbane, the bookies’ favourites, hosted Melbourne at a heaving Brighton Homes Arena, with 5,022 fans packing in—the biggest crowd for a Melbourne game this season. It was the 11th meeting between these fierce rivals, with the Dees holding a narrow 6–4 edge. But while the Lions brought the chaos and roared loudest, the Demons aren’t done yet.
