Amazingly just walked back on like nothing had happened!

But after watching for a while he does look quite ginger and seems to be playing on despite injury.

Wouldn't be surprised if he plays out the game but is not right to play again in the next 2 weeks.

The commentators are speculating he may have a broken fibula.

Looks like he is really struggling again now.

Who gives a crap? He doesn't play for us and we don't play those jokes again so why the hell should we care if he wins a Chas or winds up drinking draino in an allyway?

Ouch.

He's been one of the greats of the game, he gets my respect.

Always been a joy to watch, especially in full-flight.

It was good that he was able to come back on after obviously being in excruciating pain.

In my original post (it was edited a few times because he came back on, etc.)

I did say that it was hardly relevant to the MFC but his story is one that a lot of footy fans have followed closely.

For one, I find it compelling.

He may be a fool, but I have done many foolish things in my life and have never been regarded with as much contempt as he is by some.

Good luck to him.

I know I'll be watching his doco with great interest.

I love it. Again Andy Maher says it's all over... player strolls back on the ground and kicks a goal.

You would hope the tigers would give him one more year. he is still a top 5 player at the tigers.

Yep. For all the vitriol directed towards Ben Cousins, I find most of it comes from people who have been sheltered from the harsh realities of life. They're the kind of people who'll go on a shallow, "drugs R 4 lozerss!!" tangent, despite having had no actual experience with drugs and absolutely no understanding of the kind of stuff recovering addicts go through in their struggle to quit and to stay drug-free (for a lot of people, it's a struggle that never really ends). For all their hot air and their populist, moralistic bleating, most of them haven't got a clue what they're on about. He should be commended for the job he's doing so far in turning his life around, and hopefully, as a public figure, he might provide a bit of hope for people in similar situations.

Anyway, heres hoping he comes up and plays out the season. I wouldn't have thought they'd have kept putting him back out there if it was anything major, with the match dead and buried at half-time.

If Cuz has played his last game, I thank him for his career... Even as recent as the Melb Vs Rich game, everytime he got the ball he seemed to have 5 more seconds to decide what to do than everyone else.

If he played for a Victorian club he would have been 3 times the superstar he was.

He brought "gut running" into the game, now every player is trying to do it as well as he did in his peak.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
