Richmond has one game plan at the moment kick long to Riewoldt while

it's working in the short term it's only a stop gap. If Riewoldt's form goes off,

clog their back line, pressure the ball carier the tiges loose everytime. While it's

working short term not going to work forever.

Which is who?

I see no one at Melbourne that could kick 10 goals in a game now or in the next few years.

Have a look at Richmonds list. They have Deledio, Foley, Cousins, Cotchin and Martin in the midfield who win the clearences and kick straight to Riewoldt who played against a travelling West Coast without Glass.

Green, Jurrah, Sylvia and Pettard all could have kicked ten in the same conditions and delivery

Apparently it came down to a choice between Knights and Hardwick.

Hardwick said he would need a complete rebuild while Knights said he could deliver a premiership without massive list changes. I think Hardwick was right.

Yeah I remembered that was the reason for Knights appointment and made the point in another thread. Sounds like Hardwick was more honest in his interpretation of Essendon's list at the time while Knight said what the selection committee wanted to hear. It'll be interesting to see how Hardwick's Tigers fare in comparison to Essendon under Knights over the next couple years.

Can't you tell we don't have a game this week, you only have to look at some of the threads/topics being started, delistings etc and now this, I for one if I was an AFL coach in waiting would not have gone near either of the Richmond or Melbourne jobs, Hardwick isn't exactly working with a team without experience (games wise) everybody seems to forget this......

and as for the Darwin game, if you weren't there (and I was) you will have no idea of the conditions the players played under to achieve an excellent victory.

Can't we have a thread with gee I am looking forward to the next 9 or 10 rounds and this is why

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals.
