Cameron Schwab' forward Line comment

Recommended Posts

I only had 140 characters to work with.

Add Aussie, Ricky Petterd, Col Sylvia, Matthew Bate and perhaps a Col Garland going forward. We also think Jack Fitzpatrick is a real chance, and let's not forget Stef Martin. The point I was making is there is lots of scope.

Well you just wrecked a potential 4 page thread full of wild speculation, baseless innuendo & absolutely no substance.

Killjoy !!!!

Nah, he's created joy by joining a Demons forum. LEGEND MUCH

Im not particularly suggesting Petterd isnt going to be there...but it is strange he wasnt mentioned.

I think the C Schwab reply to some of the idiotic comments in this thread (and many other threads for that matter) just confirms my thoughts of some of the posters in this forum. Time and time again some posters try to come across as though they are more knowledgeable than the faithful that are actually run this great Club. In the end, their knowledge is minimal, and yet they still decide to speak.

Coincidence I chose this post to reply to/add to this thread?

Amazed how many posters come to conclusions on what Swabby didnt say

Oh my! This is proof that we're only going to play a 5 man forward line in future! Less if we have injuries, of course.

ZING.

So, if you think like that,,,, then why do you bother to read & post on a forum site???

I'm sorry that you don't have 2 arms & legs. Two eyes, a nose, a brain with hair atop, & that you haven't developed the ability to think yourself. That you must let those who can do it for you.

Try some Brahmi tablets, I think they are said to aid thinking ability.

If that doesn't work, close your eyes, relax, take a deep breath or two, start to humm on exhale, & see with your eyes closed if you get any visions forming...-_-

You'll find that the vast majority of posters here argue with other posters. It's footy opinion vs footy opinion... and to be fair, you're selling some people on here short. The better fans here may not be clever enough to run a footy department, but they have some incredible historical information at hand that makes the game more interesting and colourful to view.

And I'm pretty sure you'll find nobody's criticised Cam.

As for Bailey, some of us pay for our memberships and it's our duty to maintain an interest, critical or otherwise, in the goings-on at the club. 'Land gives us an opportunity... I for one am grateful for that.

This thread may have been a bad one, but there' plenty of good ones to get stuck into.

What's more, I would think Cam would encourage demonland. Otherwise, why post?

Interesting things to take from that comment:

1. Morton is going to be a forward.

2. If you assume that Petterd would have been there, then is could be a concession that he is not going to be around.

3. Green is not mentioned. If we read something into Petterd's absence, then we must equally read something into this. Is his time at the club shorter than we all think?

Alternately, you can take it as a throwaway line on Twitter that was made without consultation of our long-term strategic plans.

Brad Green must stay in the forward line for at least 2 years to help development

He is the only consistent performer we have!

He knows how to play forward!

Does anybody know his contractual details?

If there is one thing we cannot fault Melbourne FC for at the moment is actually listening to the supporters.

If only we could actually return the favour sometimes.

I have had a lot of interaction with officials and players and have found them to be completely straight in giving answers to any questions I have asked

Nice to see CS on this forum, mainly to alleviate the fears of the usual 'conspiracy theorists'. Yes there was a second gunman!!!

I think some posters really do need to have a good lie down in a darkened quiet room sometimes.

Obviously we now know if you want a question answered. ask it rather than pontificating.

If you don't like the answer that is your problem not MFC

I have no fear that we will eventually have a forward line that will be the envy of the comp, unfortunately we can't take a trick with injuries at the momen, DB said he would like to get games into the players as a group, with the forward line this season, try counting due to injury., loss of form etc exactly how many players have rotated through the six possies in the first 11 games and the reasons why.

Some very good advice Dee. I don't think I'm the one that needs to do that, maybe those that rip apart any comment about the MFC, even if it is posted on Twitter by our CEO.

Dappa, if you are one of those that jumped to the conclusion that Petterd was going because he wasn't mentioned in the Tweet that CS wrote, then I feel really sorry for you. If you didn't read his Tweet that way, which I'm pretty sure you didn't, then you have nothing to worry about in regards to my comments about some posters.

You are 100% correct, there are a lot of good threads on this site. I just find it sad sometimes that our CEO has to jump in and explain himself for something he shared on Twitter. This guy is ding us a favour by giving us some insight to the inner sanctum of the Club. I for one look forward to all his Twitter posts, especially those with photos. As a Qld resident, I don't get to see that stuff like a lot of others do, so I rely on info like that. I would hate for him to stop doing it over a stupid issue like this.

Careful Cameron. Don't get sucked in to responding to every post- you'll go nuts.

Altho with 4 posts in 15 months that probably ain't going to happen.

Keep up the good work, I like your whiteboard Wednesdays!

As I recall, there was a bit of a furor about his shopping around for other offers in the 2008 trade period before signing a 3 year deal with us. That would put him in the second year of that deal. Once it's over he's probably going to be looking at a succession of 1 year contracts as clubs rarely give any longer than that to 30+ year old players.

This is just a general note about our future prospects.... it ends ++!!

I wouldn't take any of the names - or omissions - literally

So Cam's your ticket to the Board. How are your other Board's going?

Haven't seen you around the Club lately or at the games. Did you see MVFC hss like a R & B Foundation?
