Just wondering if there were any Canberra demons out there that could help me out by suggesting a pub in our capital that i could watch the dees at on Saturday.

I have some study to do in Canberra over the weekend but really don't wanna miss watching the boys.

It'll be on FTA but Ainslie Footy Club will have a few Dees fans watching. Cnr of Wakefield and Limestone.

Another Canberra Demon here. I'd also suggest the Ainslie as the best venue. There was great support there for the match against the Lions. Couldn't believe my ears when the Lions fans behind us were having a cry about our team being stacked with priority draft picks. 5 rounds in and they're having a sook. Incredible.

But I digress. All Bar Nun also usually put the footy on the big screen and that has a good atmosphere.

Thanks guys, i could just sit in my hotel room and watch but i think it would be heaps better to get amoungst some Canberra demons so thanks again for the suggestions. Might even see you there....

All bar nun will be showing the Rugby Union. They always do and only show the AFL after it's finished. Looking at either the Ainslie Footy club (as mentioned) or Eastlakes Football club - In Kingston (behind the Kingston Hotel)

It all depends on where you are staying.

Belconnen footy club also shows it in the back end of the ACT.

Caco do you mean the Magpies club? If so I'd give that place a miss. Doubtful to be many (if any) Dees supporters there, but Eastlakes is another good option.

Yeah, the magpies club - I too would give that a miss. Just a suggestion if you're unlucky enough to be that far into the depths of Belconnen!

I watch at southern cross Woden... almost got kicked out during the collingwood game (was a little to vocal) might have to give ainslie a try!

I almost got kicked out of the Ainslie - 2000 grand final.... enough said.

I used to work at the southo!

    BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    GETAWAY by Meggs

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     DRUBBING by Meggs

    With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.

    HORE ON FIRE by Meggs

    The 40,000 seat $319 million redeveloped Kardinia Park Stadium was nowhere near capacity last night but the strong, noisy contingent of Melbourne supporters led by the DeeArmy journeyed to Geelong to witness a high-quality battle between two of the best teams in AFLW.   The Cats entered the arena to the blasting sounds of Zombie Nation and made a hot start kicking the first 2 goals. They brought tremendous forward half pressure, and our newly renovated defensive unit looked shaky.

    REMATCH by Meggs

    The Mighty Demons take on the confident Cats this Saturday night at the recently completed $319 million redeveloped GMHBA Stadium, with the bounce of the ball at 7:15pm. Our last game of 2023 was an agonisingly close 5-point semi-final loss to Geelong, and we look forward to Melbourne turning the tables this week.
