Lets Hope we pick a side who can beat the Dawks. Exploit all these weaknesses & holes they have.

Let's not just pick a team of players we think are ready, Let's aim to SMASH these bloody Hawks just like they did to us 2 years ago in Round 1

That will get the membership numbers up as we all know who visits our home ground in Round 2.

Go Demons-"If it Bleeds we can kill it" an old but very true statement.

Really hope he is ok and availible round one. We have a few injuries but the hawks are in a worse situation than us. I thought they were a chance this year but injuries are changing my mind.

A tad dramatic. Although I would love nothing more than to beat the Hawks round 1. Hell we'd be in the 8!

Not Dramatic at all if you were in the crowd in '87 & '88. We have a big chance to beat Hawthorn if they are so depleted and that's the attitude i want to see in Round 1

A HFC official said it's not serious - according to SEN. Just precautionary.

Let's not get too excited. I'm sure he'll be there for round 1.

But let us not forget old Roughy may be feeling a little Tender come round 1....Memories of Nieta's Hip & Shoulder on McCabe are flashing before my eyes!!! (It was Mc Cabe wasn't it-pretty much finished his career!!)

Yeah, I hope he's allright too, we don't want the opposition to fall off the edge of the world so we can win. Then we'd be just like the Colliwobbles.

And again, what????????????????????????

Who gives a rat's about the opposition, they don't about us.

Exactly.

Who they put on the track is their issue?

Given our young side and the hell we have been through in the past 3 years why shouldn't we take a win that is there and it should be celebrated?

A small step in the bigger scheme of things to a flag in a few years time but a big short term step in young players belief in themselves and their confidence. Worth 8 points. Its going to be a long year for young bodies.

No, I was at the 87 finals series. I was devestated, I cried, but I don't hold any grudges like you. Im not interested in watching another teams players fall over so we can benefit. Especially given our situation. Having said that if it was a grand final I hope they all bloody fall over.

just found this from the hawthorn twitter "Roughead left the field in the 2nd qtr with a knee injury. Roughead now walking freely with compression bandage. Precautionary only"

You obviously weren't at the '88 Grand Final though, that's obvious. Of course i hold a grudge against Hawthorn, I Hate all clubs except the MFC including the AFL.

Sick of seeing every one else win cups, particularly the ring ins of the past 20 odd years. :)

Move on bro. History is great, but hanging on to 24 year old pain is just ridiculous for a sporting incident. Move on

Move on to where? This club aint nasty enough, that's why we do not win.

Really? I thought it was because our players aren't as good as the ones from other teams.

Hitler/Mousselini/Ivan the Terrible

Vlad the Impaler/Manson/Bush

Bin Laden/Amrosi/Zedong

Judas/Hussein/Jones

Lucifer/Jack the Ripper/Stalin

Mugabe/Pengli/Behram

COACH: Kavorkian

Would obviously be one of the best lineups in history if "nasty" is the only criteria. I'm sorry to say that "nasty" means nothing when you have players dislocating shoulders and breaking jaws and doing their knees and tearing their hamstrings for the umpteenth time.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
