Many of you would have noticed the site error messages (see below) you may have received over the past couple of days. I have been in contact with our host providers who claim that it is a result of the message boards. Not necessarily the new forum software but as a result of some of the extra features that in laymans terms cause a heavy load on the system. I therefore have disabled some of the non essential extras such as the recent topics and posts that was on the side bar of the forum index list as well as some other features such as who is currently browsing topics. This appears to have helped quite a bit as I am not receiving those messages as much. Whilst some of those features were cool they are certainly not essential and the main part of the forums are the content and being able to use the site.

All I ask is that you be patient and if you receive the "Service is Temporarily Unavailable" page just hit refresh and you will be taken back to the page you were on. I know it is annoying at times but keep me posted if you continue to receive it all the time. It will happen now and again but hopefully the changes I have made have done the trick and it will not happen as frequently.

Cheers,

Andy

Firstly sorry for the extensive workload you are doing.Secondly many thanks for doing so. I seem to be getting as many as before. It is irriating however we can put up for it. On my current thread I have just responded to a member and called him a jerk. I meant it- I just hope it is acceptable because I do not want to create or gain more problems

regards

That's strange because I'm not receiving them anymore and I've been extensively testing the system out. Try logging out and then logging back in. Not sure if that will even do anything but it can't hurt. If you know how to clean out your browser's cache then do that and see if that helps.

Is anyone else still receiving them? Please let me know as I have no other way to know of issues if you don't let me know.

Not that it is causing any any problem necessarily, but why are you still running Apache 1? If you upgraded the message board software, why didn't you upgrade Apache?

Wednesday and Thursday I was getting them all day but since Friday it's been smooth sailing. Not getting the error messages anymore. Great job. Love the new look.

What a site- Although a few hickups now and then, I want to congratulate all whom have been involved in this new facade of our website. However, it is slightly dissapointing that the Black is a must- the Blue of our new guernsey wiould have been ideal.

Andy - WELL DONE and thank you all.

Looks like the hiccups are here to stay as the shared server we are currently housed on is pretty crap.

Black??? Looks like a dark navy blue to me.

We will put up with it but wasn't we offered a free server by one of our Demonland members. And yes- Sorry I mistook Black for Dark Blue- my old eyes are starting to go on me. Sorry for that.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
