In a normal situation, finishing 13-14th will still generate a quality draft pick, but after taking into account 12 GWS plus every second draft pick going to GC17 in 2010 and every second pick going to GWS, there's not much of a benefit from finishing low on the ladder.

Spot on. We took advantge of the timing and circumstances to maximise the draft benefits. There will be no more Jordan McMahon Trade forums in 2010 on Demonland because the picks will be mostly luck based at our picks. We have the best board/admin/player combo since the 60's. It's full steam ahead and no more strategic game moves will be needed. Too many people here seem afraid of success. We can improve rapidly and don't need another 5 year plan. I'd be surprised if we don't play finals in 2011 and have backed us at $7.20 to play finals in 2010! I fully expecet us to be a major, MAJOR force from 2012 and for the following years. We let go a couple of players that would still be regulars in past MFC teams because we have great depth to complement our current elite level. My fellow supporters - if this is not our time then keep watching Futurama for our next Premiership because the stars won't align like this again for many, many years.!

Well...enjoy ? There is no chance of me falling from exhaustion due to dehydration post flag.

We need some luck and we got some last year with a goal after the siren that gave us Trengove but we need some luck with injuries and some luck with fast tracking the development of our players.

Did that goal after the siren give us Trengove or Scully? Assuming Scully would have been no. 1 pick regardless, If we had won that match, we would have finished on 15th with 5 wins. Richmond would have won the wooden spoon with 4 1/2 wins and picked up scully.
