I'm going to a function next week where MFC football manager Chris Connolly is the guest speaker - normally procedure is a speech followed by a question & answers session.

Now if anybody lives interstate (Not Victoria) or overseas and would like to ask Chris a question ... I would be happy to do it on their behalf. I will post the answer back on Demonland ... baring in mind I can't guarantee how many questions he will answer.

Sorry I have to say this - please show some common sense with the questions

There is obviously some questions I cant ask Chris ... and I think we can all work them out. ;) Please keep them constructive.

Importantly please note the function is the 18th November so if you do want to ask a question I would get it in early.

Hmmm... well, lets start with the obvious.

Mitch Thorp - how are his injuries, how is his attitude, how is he getting along with others at training?

Are there any more delistings being considered?

Is the club now confident enough in it's overall talent base to start taking risks on injured kids (such as Ben Griffiths, Callum Bartlett)

Is there a longer term plan for managing the GC/WS drafts - is the depth back again next year? How's the father-son (Jack Viney) situation looking?

Can he put in a good word for me with the ridiculously pretty redhead girl from corporate?

Obviously not all of these questions are obligatory ;)

Not sure if this is a question for CC or someone else but I'd be interested to know how big a response there has been to the Red and Blue foundation. Also what impact that it has had (so far) with Player development/Facility development and on our players.

Also are there any other clubs that we are modelling certain aspects of our player development on and who do we consider to be at the same stage as us with respect to list and premiership window.

These are probably boring/generic questions, oh well.

you may not ask this as Im a Victorian ( how that should be excluded is interesting )....as surely all questions irrespective of source ought to be considered on their merits..but alas..I'll gamble on.

Ask , if you would , How far away is the Red and Blue Print from becoming black and white ...i.e,,,when will it exist in writing for all members to peruse?

thankyou

Belzebub, I don't even understand your question..

Being the die-hard fan Im sure you are BBB you'll of course be aware that the much touted new business model, plan for success for the MFC ( blueprint for growth and sustained financial stability ) has been dubbed the "Red & Blueprint" by CEO cameron Scwabb. When things manifest themselves intoprint they are deemed to be in Black and White. So as Demon Dan suggests to you..the question refers to when are we, as members going to see the "Plan" in writing..so we can read it!!

For the upcoming draft it is widely speculated that our first two picks (1&2) will be used for Tom Scully & Jack Trengove. Chris, for our other picks 11 & 18, will they simply be used for "best available" picks, or will there be some consideration for one of/or both pick(s) be used on a "KP player" (ie KPF) ?

    LIFE SUPPORT by Whispering Jack

With Melbourne’s season hanging on a thread, Saturday night’s game against North Melbourne unfolded like a scene in a hospital emergency department.  The patient presented to the ward in a bad way. Doctors and nurses pumped life-saving medication into his body and, in the ensuing half hour, he responded with blood returning to his cheeks as he stirred back to life. After a slight relapse, the nurses pumped further medication into the bloodstream and the prognosis started looking good as the

GAMEDAY: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne

It's Game Day and it very well could be the last roll of the dice for the Demon's finals aspirations in 2024. A loss to the bottom side would be another embarrassing moment in a cursed year for the Dees whilst a win could be the spark they need to reignite the fire in the belly.

    THE HUNTER by The Oracle

Something struck me as I sat on the couch watching the tragedy of North Melbourne’s attempt to beat Collingwood unfold on Sunday afternoon at the MCG.    It was three quarter time, the scoreboard had the Pies on 12.7.79, a respectable 63.16% in terms of goal kicking ratio. Meanwhile, the Roos’ 18.2.110 was off the charts at 90.00% shooting accuracy. I was thinking at the same time of Melbourne’s final score only six days before, a woeful 6.15.51 or 28.57% against Collingwood’s 14.5.89

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    TURNAROUND by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons won their first game at home this year in the traditional King’s Birthday Weekend clash with Collingwood VFL on Sunday in a dramatic turnaround on recent form that breathed new life into the beleaguered club’s season. The Demons led from the start to record a 52-point victory. It was their highest score and biggest winning margin by far for the 2024 season. Under cloudy but calm conditions for Casey Fields, the home side, wearing the old Springvale guernsey as a mark of res
