-Trengove and Sylvia to rotate

-Can't find a full forward, hopefully pick 11 (Jurrah not big enough, will get out muscled)

-Davey play deep forward as he gets older

-Only one ruckman, martin as back up and swingman

-Can't really fit in Rivers, not sure if i even want him on the bench. replace with another midfielder (luke ball?)

-Maric will become a gun midfielder, great delivery for the forwards

I'd put petterd in for maric. I like maric but petterd will be a gun. I think we'll pick up a full forward (Carlsile/Panos) with pick 11 or 18 as this is our most pressing concern. The other pick could be used on a forward/ruck like fitzpatrick or another midfielder.

Tall Backs: Frawley Warnock Garland Rivers - Back line to be dubbed Ol' Faithful

Running backs: Grimes Green Morton Blease

Pure Mids: Moloney Trengove Scully Jones

Running forwards: Petterd Silvia Wona Davey

Tall Forwards: Bate Jurrah Watts (Butcher/Black)

Rucks: Specner Martin - Keeping the faith in them both

EMG: Bruce Jetta Bennell

Essentially I think by the time we're ready for a premiership, this we be the way the game is headed. You will have a core group of Tall Fwds & Backs, a ruck division, and a group of around 12 runners who can all swap around for rotation purposes (Mids & running fwds/backs). When you think about adding 3 years of experience into that group - we're in for exciting times.

Our Premiership team will contain

Watts

Jurrah

Grimes

Frawley

Morton

Scully

Trengove

and there are no guarantees for others. Depending on the year we win it, Green and Bruce could get a medal too. The rest, well teams change year-to-year, week-to-week, and players drop in form and have purple patches, so who knows.

I think you are right on overall team structures. Flankers Forward or back no longer exist.

There's no way, based on current ability, that Maric makes that team. I'm also not sure if he'll develop into a 'gun midfielder'.

Wonaeamirri and Petterd are well in front of him.

yep and petterd can play midfield and im pretty sure if wanna was not injured this year he would of got a run in hte midfield also

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an

    ALAS SPRINGS by Whispering Jack

I got the word on Saturday from someone who knows someone inside the Fremantle camp that the Dockers were pumped and supremely confident about getting the W the next day against Melbourne at TIO Traeger Park in the red heart of the country. I was informed that the Dockers were extremely confident for a number of reasons. They had beaten the Demons on their home territory at the MCG at their last two meetings so they didn’t see beating them at Alice Springs as a problem. They belie

    TROUBLE by The Oracle

Situated roughly in Australia's geographic centre, Alice Springs has for many years been a troubled town suffering from intermittent crime waves, particularly among its younger residents. There was a time a little while ago when things were so bad that some even doubted the annual AFL game in the town would proceed.  Now, the hope is that this Sunday’s Melbourne vs Fremantle encounter will bring joy to the residents of the town and that through the sport and the example of the participants,
