Yes it did go ahead .

He explained that as far as he and the club were concerned Aaron was going nowhere else , ever , and that he believed Flash was always staying .

He thought it was important , in the light of Brock's departure , that the club was seen to be proactive , and that the signing of Davey was crucial as he now assumed the role of mentor to the ' indigenous crew 'after Wheels' departure .

When questioned , he did not rule out Aaron's elevation to captaincy in 2011 .

Harington was on 3AW just now. Quick run down:

- 4-5 standouts in the draft

- Seemed very keen on Trengove

- AFL not keen on us pre announcing who our picks and we need to be careful about telling the draftees

- Scully injury is ok - he'll be fine

- Brock wanted to leave, wouldn't have been traded and were working on his contract for 3 months

- Davey - very confident of retaining him the whole time, media reports were mostly BS, worked on AFL programs to set him up after footy, they were completed and always comfortable about retaining him.

- Burgyone - out of race and expects Hawthorn and Port to get a deal done

That was about it......

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy.     A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.     Some veteran Demonland Trackwatchers ventured down to Gosch's Paddock to bring you the following observations from another Preseason Training Session.     Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership.
