Have watched this guy play and thought by gee he is a very good developing CHB. OVER THE LAST TWO WEEKS , he has played forward and how well he has worked with Temel has been brilliant. This draft has some very good talls coming together and I can see Barry and staff having a HUGE headache trying to pick two great talls.

Temel & tALIA FOR ME BUT MITCH IS A SMOKIE-WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Maybe next year for Luke as he isn't eligible this year, and I agree that Barry has a huge headache choosing two great talls but not for the reason that their are so many to choose from.

THEY TOLD ME TONIGHT - HE WAS ELIGBLE -BORN IN FEB 1992, THIS MAKES HIM ELIGBLE DOESN'T IT.

I THOUGHT IT WAS 18 BY THE END OF APRIL- HOWEVER CAN BE STOOD TO ATTENTION -SORRY IF I'M WRONG.

Also you made the topic on Temel- as you can see I am excited by him. In my programme- it shows his birthdate as 05/12/1991.

I was told tonight he birthdate is 12/05/91

Can you please confirm one way or the other

Many thanks Melon 22

According to the calder cannons website, he was born on the 12.05.1991

http://www.sportingpulse.com/club_info.cgi...sectionID=55586

i have also jumped on his bandwagon for pick 11. if i was choosing our 4 picks in the top 20, it would be:

1. scully

2. morabito, but cannot see it happening, so it'll probs be trengove, which i will still be happy with

11. temel, though this is based on the hype

18. best available, hopefully there is a highly rated slider

i have faith in BP and his recruiting team with who they decide to select and will be happy either way.

Why the GC? WHY COULDN'T WE OR OTHERS PICK HIM UP?

Why the GC? WHY COULDN'T WE OR OTHERS PICK HIM UP?

If he's a bottom end 17 yo then he doesnt qualify in this years draft and is elligible for GC only to snare.

Gold Coast to have the capacity to sign 12 x 17 year-olds born in the January – April window (January 1 to April 30, 1992). - source AFL Gold Coast draft concessions explained ( AFL )

if hes still under age.,..no one really gets him this year.... and is up for grabs next year..however next years comproimised draft allows GC the following ( untraded ) picks in the 2010 Draft , they are : 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15 in round one alone, thus the likelyhood of such a kid going to GC

and the first pick in each round, so I think they get 1 and 17 & 18?

Sorry, that's not right:

1,2,3,5,7,9,11,13,15,26,43 something like that

To save any more confusion , spoke toIan Kyte, Regional Manager of/at Calder Cannons whom emailed with info below regarding his age (28/2/1992)and draft situation. His reply is:

Dear John

Birth date is correct. He is going to draft camp as a possible Gold Coast 17 year old dart choice, They can pick 12 this year and have already signed 8. They are taking 6 other possibilities to Draft camp to make their final 4 selections

Ian Kyte

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
