This is a poignant message in life to all youngsters and arrogant braggards & loudmouths in life in genaral but especially in FOOTY.

RE; ANDREW MAHER"..

This guy who is well known in the media via. ch 10. and sen AND WELL KNOWN CARLTON SUPPORTER & WHO likes to laugh at & bag MELBOURNE about its "STRANGE" TACTICS.and trying to rub in lack of interest in winning this year..

With an obvious "HYPOCRISY". and an arrogant short memory.in carltons long history of cheating ie; ( under the table payments ).

Got his comeuppance on sat.night, when HE WAS WATCHING THE -BRISBANE- CARLTON GAME IN A PUB .

THE STORY GOES AFTER SEEING CARLTON KICK THE" FIRST" GOAL OF THE LAST QUARTER -HE PROCEEDED TO GET UP ON THE BAR AND STARTED SINGING THE CARLTON THEME SONG QUITE BOISTEROUSLY -AND IN YOUR FACE TO OPPONENTS.

AND ONE ROB WALLS - NOT IMPRESSED AND HIS VILLAIN OF WEEK.

one of the best and most satisfying last quaters in my long memory, only wish it was the demons doing it to carlton. instead of the lions..

GOOD ONE LIONS..

I CERTAINLY HOPE MICK MALOY STICKS IT "UP HIM "IN NO UNCERTAIN MANNER ALA " TED WHITTEN"..ON BEFORE THE BOUNCE NEXT SAT NIGHT !!!

Goes to show what comes around goes around- and is a big message to whom ever like to belittle others who are not in a good place..ie;EITHER the tall poppy or the perenial unfortunate.(except to say anything" collingwood" who ask for it )

an old saying :

if people show you who they are ,"believe them "

good character and bad..

Don't mind the Blues :o but seriously hate this bloke. Wanted Carlton to win on the weekend but at least this guy gets shown up as an absolute [censored].

I DO mind the Blues and seriously hate this bloke. COuldn't happen to a nicer team.

They know we are coming. Ha ha ha ha ha

I'm unsure why you care so much.

Sure, it's obnoxious behaviour, but it doesn't make Maher any more or less of a [censored] than thousands of other footy supporters. He was probably just three sheets to the wind and watching his boys play well in their first final in eight years.

And you've got no reason to be sensitive about his comments about Melbourne's "strange tactics". We manipulated our performance to ensure we lost enough games to get the priority pick. Them's the facts - no point in getting upset about commentary on it.

Lord knows why this plague is still on air... They keep giving him jobs, I think, because there's no-one else.

RIP CG.

I absolutely hate the bloke. Every comment he makes is like nails on a chalk board to me, and all to often they are stupid comments that are proven wrong or challenged by the more astute special comments guys.

I hate Carlton as well, and was thoroughly pleased when the Lions ran over the top of them.

Fair and rational summation MikeyJ.....

But it doesn't change the facts that it is irrationally satisfying to watch this "obnoxious behaviour" fall in a heap.

And while we are all well aware of what Melbourne had to do and did, it is still more than a little hypocritical for a Carlton supporter of all people to be questioning it. Same as we really shouldn't be questioning the Blues for doing what they did over those years, because the situation is not all that different. You do what you have to get the best fro your future.

Besides I just think that people simply don't like Andy Mahar and so watching him come a whop amuses us ;) !!!

Correct. It's all a bit of banter. And don't we love it when a weasel such as Maher cops it. He's certainly embarrassed himself, which is even more amusing. But I'm sure he'll be back one day to give it to all in sundry whenever there would be a slip up.

And when he does, I'm sure there will be those who will remind him of being such a fool.

I'm not sure that I've ever heard Maher 'question' Melbourne's tanking. He openly acknowledged it (even Blind Freddy could see it) and from the snippets I've heard basically said it is exactly what CFC did and is the best way to get back up the ladder in the future.

Maher suffers from little person syndrome.

Interesting, he is about 185-6cms.

Different kind of little ;) ?!!!

I think Andrew Maher has said the word "bloke" more than everyone who's ever existed, ever. What a bogan.

But I was talking about him a few weeks ago with my dad, who raised an interesting point. What he said was that in a field dominated by ex-footy players, a guy who knows television (and radio) and how the medium works, can really take the pressure off everyone else, allowing them to only have to concentrate on talking footy (or comedy in the case of Before the Bounce). If he's hosting, it means that Hughesy or Malcolm Blight or whoever isn't.

I assume this is why he's still in the job, considering he doesn't know squat about anything else. Makes sense to me.
