Casey Scorpions v Collingwood

KC from Casey

Recommended Posts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't the club require any out of contract players to sign a waiver to play with Casey in the finals? Because if an out of contract player suffered a significant injury, like an ACL, playing for Casey, they would be required to be kept on the list next season... Ie. the club couldn't delist them? I remember hearing something along these lines a couple of years ago.....
I also recall this too. Edited by High Tower

Oh, quit the hysterics.

They were slated for operations to get them ready for our early start to preseason.

The success of Sandringham should illustrate to the Casey supporters how seriously we take our 'reserves.'

And anyone that has to have the screenname 'insider' - is no such thing.

"No, I am sure am an insider Mr.rpfc. Honest. I have all the info and everything, but I just happen to think that 'Casey player availability' is worth breaking a trust and informing the public, over other obviously more important things I know about because of my insider-ness."

Please.

VFL record said that Kyle Cheney was eligable to play and Jordie McKenzie was also.

ok so we have mckenzie and cheney as two who were available and who didnt play. have we got any other suggestions?

i find it amazing how the people who slagged the club when this first came up have not been willing to put up anything...especially considering i completely i agree with you if it is true. pity it appears to be a bit of bravo...

i think a implication that the entire squad, or at the all the boys who had played a game or two with sandy, and the coaching staff weren't out to support casey is worse. can anyone confirm their appearance/non appearance?

I'd imagine most of the players would be out of town enjoying some holidays... Pre-season starts early October, they'd want to make the most of their break...

probably, and if they are overseas or out of town thats fair enough, but you would think that there should be an official delegation from the club at the match, and given the number of playres who are in, or have been sloted in for surgery the past week or two one would think there would be a large contingent still in melbourne.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k

OVER YET? by KC from Casey

The Friday evening rush hour clash of two of the VFL’s 2024 minnows, Carlton and the Casey Demons was excruciatingly painful to watch, even if it was for the most part a close encounter. I suppose that since the game had to produce a result (a tie would have done the game some justice), the four points that went to Casey with the win, were fully justified because they went to the best team. In that respect, my opinion is based on the fact that the Blues were a lopsided combination that had

    CENTIMETRES by Whispering Jack

Our game is one where the result is often decided by centimetres; the touch of a fingernail, a split-second decision made by a player or official, the angle of vision or the random movement of an oblong ball in flight or in its bounce and trajectory. There is one habit that Melbourne seems to have developed of late in its games against Carlton which is that the Demons keep finding themselves on the wrong end of the stick in terms of the fine line in close games at times when centimetres mak

    MELBOURNE BUSINESS by The Oracle

In days of old, this week’s Thursday night AFL match up between the Demons and the Blues would be framed on the basis of the need to redress the fact that Carlton “stole” last year’s semi final away from Melbourne and with it, their hopes for the premiership.  A hot gospelling coach might point out to his charges that they were the better team on the night in all facets and that poor kicking for goal and a couple of lapses at the death cost them what was rightfully theirs. Moreover, now was
