With only one game televised each week, it looks as though Casey are getting more than their fair share of TV coverage.

Casey 4.5.29 to Collingwood 1.0.6

Goals McGough Mohr Scanlon Whelan

Kyle Cheney has had 10 touches and 3 strong marks but his disposal has been ordinary although conditions are not great. They are tailor made for an in and under man like Shane Valenti who has had seven disposals, most of them in the clinches.

how did the reserves go? Bucks? Spencer?

The Ressies play at City Oval, Coburg tomorrow. Rohan Bail didn't play for the seniors today so he might turn up in the reserves with Buckley, McNamara, Spencer and Zomer.

Casey 11.14.80 to Collingwood 3.10.28 but the Pies have a strong wind advantage in the last.

That was Juice's quarter with 3 goals after Casey started slowly with the advantage of the breeze. Cheney has 17 possessions, Valenti 14 and McKenzie 13.

Why would you laugh at him. Hero. Write more numbers down and continue your role as prophet of the ridiculous and banal.

coz it was laughable that he debuted ahead of newton. if you're going on vfl form alone, newton averaged stacks more contested marks, kicked stacks more goals and laid stacks more tackles. If we were in a grand final tomorrow, I believe Watts is probably the worst on our whole list, bar rookies. And even then hughes and McKenzie are better. nothing against watts, as i'm sure he will be good in 5 years, but for now he is utterly useless

I agree with you freak in terms of that there were and still are players playing better footy at casey. And they have put him ahead of a few players. But he is far from useless, and has been solid enough at casey.

Like Jurrah and i think guys like Hughes might not dominate at vfl level but enjoy the space and cleaner skills of AFL level.

I have a question about Watts for those who my have seen more of Casey than me. Do they kick it to him much?

It's just that every time i watch Casey play, they very rarely will kick it to Watts in a contested situation, which makes it hard for me to judge him sometimes.

Maybe he doesn't present and needs to increase his work rate, or maybe they just prefer to kick it to more mature bodies in contested situations. Like I said, I am not sure, but when watching the games on TV, i'll see a player with the ball and I'll be thinking Watts must be down that way left of screen somewhere, but the ball never seems to get kicked to him.

Today's game was not suited to him. It was congested with a lot of stoppages and packs.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
