My 3 word player analysis V The Wet Toast

He is generally standing free in the corridor. Today, there was one instance where he stood on the 50m line dead in the centre of the ground, waving his hands in the air like a nutcase, and nobody kicked to him.

Maybe it's because, when he turns sideways, he disappears  (edit: didn't see your post condemned... damn it!)

In all seriousness, sitting near the bench you see plenty of player interaction, and to be honest I don't see Morton being part of any sort of clique or group (and there are some very obvious ones out there). I mean even today after the game, he was running behind the group as we ran into the rooms.

This is just a very shallow observation, and I obviously have no idea what goes on behind closed doors, but from things that I've heard and seen, Morton is not the most popular guy going around.

Hopefully this changes quickly, because if he is unhappy and wants to leave, maybe even to play with his brothers (who he lives with), I'll be mighty [censored] off. This kid has every weapon to be a star, and the guys around him need to realise it and embrace it.

Jaded i too sit in the same area next to the bench and have noticed similar goings on, i have been guilty of getting on his cse of late and i made a point in watching Cale more closer yesterday and truely feel this kid has a place at Melb still got alot of growing to do and he was more involved in tackling this week, i also made sure everytime Cale walked past i gave the kid support and got a look back after the game of aknowledgement from him.

I hope we can keep him too

Dear God. Look mate, thats the way he plays and I'll take it. For every time it doesnt come off, it's produces something 4 times. It will be a sad, sad day when Robbo leaves this club a terrific bloke, greta player and ambassador for our club. I'm sick of that hate he gets around here

Jetta had the most scoring assists and 6 tackles.

Provided great pressure in our forward line.

Deserves more recognition for his efforts from the fans.

i agree this kid his secon ad third efforts put so much preasure on west coast along with bennell both these kids in a first year i feel are doing everything right

canot wait to see the development in next 2 years they are the future

Bennell - was rarely sighted

Frawley - solid and dependable

Rivers - Rivers of old

Can I just comment on these ones.....

Bennell did a fair bit, I thought he did more than Jetta, actually, I saw him do some great disposals

Frawley - I thought made some stupid mistakes early in defense, he was the cause of those two free kicks in front of WC goals bringing their score up above Melbourne's.

Same with Rivers in the last quarter, although I put that down to fatique! I was surprised Bailey didn't take him off for a rest at that stage

I am with you Anders.

I am sick of people getting stuck into Robbo. Robbo haters remember this:

1. Robbo is coming off a very serious injury that kept him out of the game for 12 months.

2. Robbo has had no pre-season (at all)

3. Robbo gets terrible supply week in, week out

4. Robbo takes the number one backman most week despite not being a true KPP. In a strong team he would play in the pocket or off the flank, would have the 3rd or 4th defender and not rotate through FF and CHF.

5. Robbo chose to stay with Melbourne at the end of 2007 knowing that he would probably never play finals football again and would be nothing more than a mentor in a rebuilding team. He decided to stay despite a longer and more lucrative offer from the Western Bulldogs who's premiership window is open.

6. Robbo has been an outstanding, excitement machine who has given us all many, many memorable moments and won many games for us off his own boot. We would not have won without him on Saturday. Yes he is a show pony at times, but I for one love it. I love what he brings to the game and I love what he has done for the club. He is probably the only proven match winner on our list at the moment.

Robbo needs to be resigned to another 2 year contract!

Come to think of it he will be definitely re-signed (for at least a year probably two).

Thank god some of you guys don’t work in our recruiting department as you truly have no idea.

    FROZEN by Whispering Jack

Who would have thought?    Collingwood had a depleted side with several star players out injured, Max Gawn was in stellar form, Christian Petracca at the top of his game and Simon Goodwin was about to pull off a masterstroke in setting Alex Neal-Bullen onto him to do a fantastic job in subduing the Magpies' best player. Goody had his charges primed to respond robustly to the challenge of turning around their disappointing performance against Fremantle in Alice Springs. And if not that, t

    BOILED LOLLIES by The Oracle

In the space of a month Melbourne has gone from chocolates to boiled lollies in terms of its standing as a candidate for the AFL premiership.  The club faces its moment of truth against a badly bruised up Collingwood at the MCG. A win will give it some respite but even then, it won’t be regarded particularly well being against an opponent carrying the burden of an injured playing list. A loss would be a disaster. The Demons have gone from a six/two win/loss ratio and a strong percentag

CLEAN HANDS by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons headed into town and up Sydney Road to take on the lowly Coburg Lions who have been perennial VFL easy beats and sitting on one win for the season. Last year, Casey beat them in a practice match when resting their AFL listed players. That’s how bad they were. Nobody respected them on Saturday and clearly not the Demons who came to the game with 22 players (ten MFC), but whether they came out to play is another matter because for the most part, their intensity was lacking an
