I thought Yze was pretty ordinary yesterday, he was doing alot of the kick in's from fullback and he turned the ball over a couple of times that were costly to box hill. He was playing a sweeping roll from half-back, having alot of handball recieves and setting up play from half-back but turn the ball over a few times with bad decision making an intercepted kicks. Mind you it was a day, where no one really stood out with hitting leading targets. Funny thing was, I was standing behind the goals where Yze was kicking in (During the First Quarter) And Aaron Davey was yelling Yze's name and trying to put him off was very funny.

P.S Belly was clearly our best yesterday his attack of the football and effort to make a contest was first class.

At least our seniors are playing good footy. Cant ask for everything. Watts wont play for another 4 weeks or so.

I just wonder if that's playing on his mind? He handles himself very well, so I doubt it has anyting to do with it, but it could be playing in his mind: I won't be playing until Round 11, so anything I do, I'll probably be playing for Casey next week. It would be a difficult position to be in. Maybe, I'm not giving him enough respect for his professional outlook?

On a side note.......

On the way into the ground on Sun my MFC card was scanned. I didn't think anything of it at the time otherwise I would have asked.

I presume it was to stop people getting pass outs and then handing their cards to others. But I thought maybe the MFC are being charged for the entry, if this is the case I would have paid at the gate. It is something that would be nice to know for next time.

Thanks for that Bob, that's some interesting observations. One of his negatives before being drafted was his work rate, but I suppose even superman had his kryptonite

I'm a little unsure if effort can be 'taught'. There's been plenty of very talented players who just didn't work hard enough and eventually failed who had determined players around them.
