Jones is a definite inclusion, and I doubt they'll drop Maric.

Hopefully the bench is: Jones, Maric, Bennell and Grimes

Please please please don't let Stef get injured in the ruck. Please!

Is this official? Strange no Spencer, is he still injured? I guess that means Stef will be relieving ruckman.

Tough interchange to pick from.

I wonder if the WA boys get a gig in front of friends and family.

Bad luck to all you Bate and Dunn haters, they are named o the field again. Here is hoping they get 60 possessions, 8 goals and 15 tackles between them to keep the wolves at bay.

I guess that means Bate and Dunn get a reprieve.

Maric would be stiff to go after one, admittedly awful, game.

Jones has been named on the bench a few weeks now, and Bennell would travel home whether playing or not; a chance to see his family.

Maybe Subiaco means a break for Jones to give us some run through Jetta?

That's a tough interchange bench to select four names from.

Jones will be in.

Maric deserves another run.

But then who?

I'd like to see Grimes in.

Only one ruckman in the selected side so maybe Newton comes in for some ruck duty which he did a bit of a Casey last week. But that seems a little desperate.

It's tough to make a call on that extended bench.

Stuff that. I think Stef's becoming important fast so i wouldn't like to see him playing there.

Stand up Paul Johnson. You've been a passenger all year. If Ryder can play 100, you can play 100.

Not a Bate hater but how the bloody hell is he getting a game? It's say alot actually.

Ideally PJ should take every centre bounce, and Stef can help him out around the ground.

It scares me to think that Stef will be facing off against Cox, who is a hell of a lot more experienced and physically strong. All it takes is one poorly-timed jump and.... :(

Agree 100% with this.

It's a bit of a worry.

Where is Spencer? Anybody know where he's at? How long until he can come in?

Actually this could be "List management"

Can PJ have a decent crack at Big Cox?? Wondering about my supercoach cpt.

Agree thats what the bench should be. PJ should just play a negating role on Cox and ruck all game bar the forwardline. Preference for Martin to not ruck except in the forwardline.

Grimesy has been troubled by a back complaint recently & has only just shown signs of form.

I wonder if he may wait another week.

I'm also thinking that Bartram could be one to have a weeks rest.

Bennell & Jettta could get a run on the big sparse ground.

More challenging to call this week. If it were me, I'd leave out Maric - only because Subi suits players with larger tanks. I want to see him in for a few weeks straight after this one though. I'd go Jones, Bennell, Grimes and Cheney. Due to injuires and the ground I'd have thought we'll need players with the running ability and defensive capabilities of Grimes and Cheney to better utilise Petterd and Bruce.

I have a feeling though that Newton will come in though to free up Martin for the ruck.

I doubt they'd name Grimes on the extended bench unless he was ready to go.

Bartram is in the selected 18, so I doubt he'll be missing this week.

Cheney would be stiff to get done over grimes. Judging on there last games at Casey and Cheney has been pushing each week.

Bit disappointed with that to be honest. I hope the only change then is Grimes for Meesen. If there had to be a second change I'd choose Cheney for Bennell, but I think Bennell deserves the continued run.

I don't rate rucks all that much in general, but I am cacking myself at the thought of PJ rucking all day against Cox. I doubt there has ever been a bigger mismatch in rucking ability in the last 20 years.

They've often done that with players approaching their first game to give them hope they're getting close.

Bartram, yeah I still haven't fully accepted that premise between squads & teams. But you may be right there.

I'd like to see Bennell & Jetta play in front of their origin crowd. I think it would be good for them.

Very unhappy with the extended bench. Bate and Dunn should have been shoo-ins.

I'd love it if it happened, but I think we all know that's impossible. I'd just be happy if Bate kicked 2 goals, and actually had an influence on the game.

Anyway, I think the bench will be Jones, Maric, Bennell and Grimes. My reasoning is that they wouldn't have named Grimes if he wasn't fit to play.

Newton doesn't deserve a recall until he shows consistency at Casey.

haha hopefully we're not wearing the white AWAY shorts or he could be in some trouble here...
