I did tell you WJ that this game would be anything but "Nothing Special" I do hope this weeks Review will be a little more optimistic.

I'll definitely try to sugar coat my next review (due for the Geelong game). There's still some water due to flow under the bridge before that game but I'm looking at ... say ... a 5 goal win. Do you think that's a big enough margin or should I go for 7 goals? ;)

No tell it like it is W.J. You do it well, i just thought you were off the mark a little last week. A lot of work has been done at Melb over the past 9 months as you would know & i thought the club deserved a slightly more positive approach. My opinion.

Good performance from the team, yes.

Objectively "exciting", "colourful" or "special" game of Aussie Rules? No - not unless you count ending Wallace's career.

Good performance from the team, yes.

Not much in this world gets you excited does it Hazy? Rather Sad really. Considering where this club of ours was 12 Months ago i actually considered last sunday very special, I hope the team can back it up in the coming weeks.

The 2nd Q showed a lot of promise to me 45. Its been a while since we kicked an 8 goal quarter when it mattered. The boys played some good footy.

Compared to some games last year it was great. Lets see how well we can play against adelaide this sunday. We are a chance.

Didn't see the Essendon Kangas game i was out, but the world tells me it was atrocious so i will believe them.

    REDEEMING by Meggs

    It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    Last Saturday’s crushing loss to Fremantle, after being three goals ahead at three quarter time, should be motivation enough to bounce back for this very winnable Round 5 clash at Windy Hill.     BLOW THE SIREN by Meggs

    Fremantle hosted the Demons on a sunny 20-degree Saturdayafternoon winning the toss and electing to defend in the first quarter against the 3-goal breeze favouring the Parry Street end. There was method here, as this would give the comeback queens, the Dockers, last use of the breeze. The Melbourne Coach had promised an improved performance, and we did start better than previous weeks, winning the ball out of the middle, using the breeze advantage and connecting to the forwards.

    Calling all fit players. Expect every available Melbourne player to board the Virgin cross-continent flight to Perth for this Round 4 clash on Saturday afternoon at Fremantle Oval.     With Casey Fields basking in sunshine, an enthusiastic throng of young Demons fans formed a guard of honour for the evergreen and much admired 75-gamer Paxy Paxman. As the home team ran out to play, Paxy’s banner promised that the Demons would bounce back from last week’s loss to Brisbane and reign supreme.   Disappointingly, the Kangaroos dominated the match to win by 50 points, but our Paxy certainly did her bit.  She was clearly our best player, sweeping well in defence.
