What do we want for Xmas?

The silly season is just about to swamp us so I thought I'd start the ball rolling with regard to appropriate Demon pressies.

Green - a right foot.

Robbo - a left foot.

Davey - a right foot.

Jones - more space.

Young Col - smarts.

Jared - a season.

Cale - weight.

Grimes - games.

Feel free to add to this wish list.....I've barely scratched the surface.

And a merry festive season to you all.

Dees - Major sponsor

Brock - Captaincy

Jones - Better disposal

Sylvia - Realise potential

Moloney - Full Season

i'd add a few and change a couple.

first up the mfc.

off-field present- a major sponsor

on field- injury free preseason (everything else should follow, and that is the only thing out of our control)

Green - a right foot (or simply his old left foot back)

Robbo - better balance, although he might ask simply for a full recovery.

Davey - his spark back.

Jones - more space. or a super slick handpass. i think i'd prefer the later.

Jared - a season.

Cale - weight.

Juice - 50 goal season

Bate - Consistancy

Watts - To debut in 09

CJ - To do his knee in round 1

Win the next 100 grand finals

Watts to kick 200 goals

Cale, Mclean, Molloney and Strauss to tie for brownlow

................

but we don’t always get what we wish for :P

Shoes... but never mind that;

Cale- A steakhouse

Jared- Replacement body parts

McLean- Luck

Meesen- A hope in hell

Carlton- A suspicious fire which destroys the entire club and everyone in it

MFC - Provides a Contest, always!

Tom Rockliff in the PSD.

6/ I'm sold on him too. Agree.

On top of: -

1/ Major sponsor or two.

2/ Rivers back - as in back on ground and inform. (not an injured back)

3/ Pre-season injury free

4/ Debt free

5/ West to have a big impact in our midfield

6/ See above ie. Tom Rockliff for PSD.

7/ Brock - Our new Captain

Davey - hamstrings of steel cable

Miller - consistent delivery to him in the forward line

Jones - some outside receivers

Backline - someone to kick to

Entire team - more muscle

CJ - To do his knee in round 1

I'd never wish this on anyone....

However, CJ to miss from 10m out against us late in the year to cost carlton finals and have the Dees sneak in because of the miss - that would be enough for the next 10years of christmas

1.... my membership package to be under the xmas tree

2... captain MCLean....V/capt Green

3.... A major sponsor

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.

It's Game Day and the Demons return to the MCG to face the Tigers in their annual Blockbuster on ANZAC Eve for the 10th time. The Dees will be desperate to reignite their stuttering 2025 campaign and claim just their second win of the season. Can the Demons dig deep and find that ANZAC Spirit to snatch back to back wins?
