Eastie Boyz 0 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Brown is either 26 or 27. Never been able to work out why he hasn't made it. Played some absolute blinders over the years but then just disappears and gets dropped.
sylvinator 96 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Leigh Brown could be a handy short term (preseason draft) acquisition to bolster our forwardline for 2 years. Not sure of his age. We need to take the pressure off our youngsters, while our young forwards to be recruited develope their bodies confidance & game. i've got an awesome idea. He's 22 years old so fits out age bracket perfectly. He's got great kicking skills which is what we need. He can supply drive off half back which is what we lack. His name is Chris Johnson.

Swampfox 190 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 This year the PSD is very dissapointing From OUR rebuilding position its even worse Looks like a gap filler draft to me
45HG 1,559 Posted October 31, 2008 Author Posted October 31, 2008 I wonder how CJ would fit into this thread if this was another club's website
Guest Golgothan Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Now the clubs have done 99% of their delisting, we can actually look at the best options in the PSD. We can invite players to train with us and try to find the best option for the club There are a few tall forward options now that we might consider. Gourdis has been delisted by Richmond, he's a real athlete but a lot of work needs to be done on his football. Thoolan is a huge kid delisted by Collingwood and he's still only 18, 19 early next year. He's 195cm & 95kg, and that was measured at the start of the year. Couple of young options that we could consider
Jarka 767 Posted October 31, 2008 Posted October 31, 2008 Rather than pickign up a delisted player I'd be more inclined to go after the best kid playing in one of the state level competitions.
DemonDave 1,099 Posted November 1, 2008 Posted November 1, 2008 I wonder how CJ would fit into this thread if this was another club's website You mean like this? http://www.bluebaggers.com/phpboard/viewtopic.php?t=21758 Or this one on Nathan Carroll going to Carlton? http://www.bluebaggers.com/phpboard/viewtopic.php?t=21748 Seems every club boards supporters are the same!
45HG 1,559 Posted November 1, 2008 Author Posted November 1, 2008 Davo, mate, never make me read a Carlton website again...
grant 10 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Cousins. Hell YEH! Will we still suck with Beny, but he will bring more media interest to the club and show the kids how to play hard and party hard!
H_T 3,049 Posted November 8, 2008 Posted November 8, 2008 Hell YEH! Will we still suck with Beny, but he will bring more media interest to the club and show the kids how to play hard and party hard! Unconcious on the banks of the Yarra, no thanks.
45HG 1,559 Posted October 13, 2009 Author Posted October 13, 2009 Just for you RPFC. I'll start with Tenace and Bryan.
WonnaJurah 5 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Robert Shirley, Nick Gill(1 game wonder hehe)
QueenC 74 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Swans have chopped Ryan Brabazon, Matthew Laidlaw and Daniel O'Keefe..... Anyone interested ?!!!
Hobbits's 17 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 Swans have chopped Ryan Brabazon, Matthew Laidlaw and Daniel O'Keefe..... Anyone interested ?!!! No. Could do much worse than Kane Tenace.
rpfc 29,089 Posted October 13, 2009 Posted October 13, 2009 No. Could do much worse than Kane Tenace. Massive selling point that one. "Hey Kane, we don't think you are very good but selecting you was the only way we could keep Chris Bryan off the list." "Now go introduce yourself to Brad Gotch - you're going to be seeing a lot of him. Hahahahaha!!!" They probably could have left off the evil laugh at the end but AFL is an emotional game and it adds drama...and flavour.
H.B.K 0 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Surely we could convince Clive Waterhouse out of retirement!!
Jaded No More 68,976 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Daniel O'Keefe..... Does he bleed red and blue, because we sure could use an O'Keefe type <_<
QueenC 74 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Does he bleed red and blue, because we sure could use an O'Keefe type <_< Very clever !!!
rpfc 29,089 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Get a room you two! Visualising and... You're both very attractive... Moving on...
stevethemanjordan 6,952 Posted October 14, 2009 Posted October 14, 2009 Get a room you two! Visualising and... You're both very attractive... Moving on... Haha... I played with Laidlaw before he was drafted. Gun player but has been ruined by injuries. We will have enough mids after the draft but he is a Melbourne boy, 22 and if he is over his injuries he could be a handy pickup. Very much doubt we will pick him up though...
