wat time does the lap of honours start on a 2 10 start?

i wouldnt be goin to the game but since its a lap of honour to our great. im going! :P

Are they giving him his tribute this weekend? I haven't heard anything so i was hoping they would leave it to make it a part of the big celebrations during the Queens Birthday for our 150th year, a tell ya what if they DID do that it would just about sell out the ground.

Please don't let it be this weekend though, because i've got my mother's 60th birthday in the afternoon and i can't go to the match!

down the very end of the story.

Thanks :(

I might not get to say goodbye! If i ever see him at a function or anything i will make sure to thank him in person, he's earned every accolade he's been given.

I'll be there..............I just hope a big crowd with plenty of MFC supporters turn up to give him a send off!

Members' email said there'd be a lap of honour, in a Volvo C30 no less! I'll be there to honour the great man for the first of many times i believe

Must remember to pack some tissues before we leave for the game.

Hopefully every Melbourne supporter comes this Sunday. Our captain deserves a standing ovation from more than 58 people :D

looks like we find who some of the non members are ey ;)

well I haver a family member going into hospital that day... so I take umbrage at that remark!! Sometimes events conspire to thwart !!

Was really hoping it would be QB game !!

I think DJ was referring to who gets the members' email, which even then isn't necesarily true but i think was more of a bit of fun

If so..i'll settle <_<

Given that its supposedly the BIG game of the year.. the big 150th game.. Im certainly suprised its not the Melbourne-filth game.

Yes I have to work this Sunday so i am not pleased. Infact i am in a mean mood!! Queens Birthday for Nieta please Footy Club

Agree shoulda been the Queens Birthday and lead the fans with the walk to the "G" Woulda been huge.

Club needs to make this happen.

The club smart by doing this on Suinday and not Queens Birthday, Queens Birthday we will get 60-75,000 regardless. On Sunday the club IMO would have budgeted on 35-40K turning up. With Hawthorn flying and now with Neita retiring the club would by hoping for 55-60,000 to attend. A bit extra cash in the bank. Neita can still lead the walk to the G on Queens birthday as well.

Vic metro boys are playing on Sunday before the Dees Hawks game which i will be going to with all my mates and of course to see the big number 9 off! If anyone is going look out for number 15 Vic Metro Dan Hanaberry starting on the wing someone to look out for in the future is dominating at APS level for Xavier and Chargers still in year 11 garente he will be a future star hopefully at the dees!!!

For all of those who still dont know, the lap is set for 1:45pm on Sunday. So make sure you dont plan to get there just before the bounce, cause you will miss it!

I didn't know they played curtain raiser matches on the 'G - what time is that?

So they play an unnecesary curtain raiser, but won't let fans onto the ground? Hrm

All this talk of Neitz retiring is still gettin me down

i am all for curtain raisers...i reckon they should play them their during all day games, no need for them at night matches. if they did id get their at 12, watch the game and then have lunch their. ok i know its expensive, but i get a full days entertainment, not just 2.5 hours. i know the g looks great these games, but o you reckon 1 extra game a week is too much?

I with you deanox, I think curtain raisers are a good thing. They get people to the ground who might not otherwise have come, and then hopefully they stick around afterwards, boosting attendance numbers. Plus maybe they spend more money on food etc. Plus its entertaining.

starts at 11.10 im pritty sure.
