  1. Past hour
  2. hmmm, knee jerk decisions not being effective................who wouldve thunk that?
  3. No player at the FC offers what McAdam has to offer Plays much taller than he is which is going to cause headaches for the opposition defenders Frees up Kozzy and Fritsch imo
  4. I like the cut of McAdam's jib. If he can keep himself fit he'll add some much-needed spark up forward for the rest of the season.
  5. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/the-stats-that-show-why-the-afl-should-undo-hocking-s-rule-changes-20240515-p5jdti.html Couldn't agree more personally.
  6. So Windsor is fun and all on the wing, and obviously the future. But I have wondered if we’ve lacked that experienced professional ability to end up in the right place at the right time to defend f50 rebounds and enter well. Potentially something the more wily hunter or billing’s could add. I still think windsors assets are best 23 but with a higher % rotation to an experienced player.
  7. To fit in with some of the silly suggestions on this thread I say Bowsa to give him a chop out Jaded.
  8. I reckon he will play Discos role - if he can - providing agility and a marking option. Im not 100% that he has the tank so may stay closer to goal.
  9. Shane would be delighted. This is a massive injection of confidence for him and confidence is everything when it comes to game-day. So proud of him. ❤️💙
  10. I can't see Woey being dropped as the game is in Perth, he has been sub several times and was one of our best when he came on against Carlton. If anything, Chin could need a rest with his knee issues on a possible hard ground. I would even have Woey in ahead of Billings.
  11. I'm just looking forward to us playing a forward who actually holds overhead marks!
  12. Gold Coast (with no certainty) Sydney Pies GWS Freo Brisbane Essendon Port (could see an upset with Hawks winning) Dees Agree with you on results, but personally think that tonight is the only true toss of the coin game in the first five IMO.
  13. Fingers crossed that McAdam gets a good run at it. Would be handy to cement another marking option who brings some real pressure
  14. Congratulations Shane McAdam and MFC, really looking forward to seeing you running around in our colours against the Weagles, hope you have a great game, we need a bit more X-Factor in our side.!!
  15. Today
  16. Could we see a return to the TMac pinch-hitting strategy for this week?
  17. Sure, why not... At the start of the year I was hoping they'd rest him for this game, however West Coast are far better at home than I could have imagined. (can only imagine Petty and T Mac will share 7-8 minutes a quarter as back up. GC rucked defender Mac Andrew as a pinch hitter last week, so it's not out of the ream of possibility that T Mac could pinch hit ruck as a defender)
  18. There was some commentary on SEN this morning regarding Dusty and some callers suggestions he'd suit North. I tend to agree with the Sam Edmund and Josh Jenkins (I know, I know) take that he wouldn't suit North as he is seemingly not in the mould of the Hodge, Lewis, Cross category of a 'vocal' leader. Sure, leadership can come in many forms and I do acknowledge that, but Martin seems to be extremely reserved and insular. You might get some cash injection from a marketing perspective, but given his output over the last two seasons, and his apparent on-field disposition, I don't think I'd be chasing him and hope to get the Luke Hodge educator/general role. From a Dees perspective, it's also a categoric 'no' in my opinion. Even if he came cheaply, I think we have far greater needs with our current list and I don't necessarily see him filling a role in a meaningful capacity, as it stands.
  19. Great to see McAdam get his chance. I also think Dirk could be given a nod again.
  20. I was going to ask this a few weeks ago but could never get around to it, even had visuals that I prepared earlier. I definitely agree on the ‘box to box’ wingman concept with Langdon but I’d love to get unnecessarily complex for a moment Binman and ask you how you think they would be instructing him to perform this defensive role in relation to the all-team zone. Could it be like option A where Langdon has a specific section of grass that he covers but it also extends into the back 50 (Either all game or only in specific situations) or more likely option B where he isn’t designated a zone but he tracks back often to help his teammates out with the spoils, tackles and just being a back stop to avoid the opposition kicking to open space etc? OPTION A OPTION B With such an intricate defensive zonal system I’m really intrigued as to how these roles are drilled into the players.
  21. Gawny going to ruck 100% of game time… or…
  22. Thrilled to see McAdam in the side. I wouldn't be surprised if Kolt is one of the inclusions for this round either.
