  1. If we get smashed by that bribery and crime syndicate I will be ropeable. Is there any justice in this world??
  2. We made finals three years running and fell in a heap striaght afterwards. So sustained 'reasonable' success hasn't lifted us any closer to long term sustainability. And sorry mate, but where has DB told us to expect a period of no success? He has said we will be going out to win every match. We are struggling at the moment mainly because his vision is a change to the way we play because the way we played (under ND) showed we can be there abouts, but not good enough for the sustained success we all seek.
  3. Can someone who is able (I'm not) ring KB on "get it off your chest" now and ask?
  4. Now just too add insult to injury KB in interviewing Adam Simpson with Simpson commenting how he thought they (North) had the game on the weekend locked away before half time.
  5. So, from this do I assume the quote is correct because I am worried about the rider implied in your use of "apparently"?
  6. To put it in terms you might relate better to, would you do something like this to your kid or be happy for your dad to do it you? It mystifies me why people in this day and age continue to think they will get the best out others through humiliation, intimidation or abuse.
  7. What does it say about our culture that 'supporters' sit down the night before a game and make a banner like that?
  8. Can't argue with any of that. IMO here are a couple of 'supporters' who the night before a game sat down and worked out how they would 'support' and they chose to do this!! Pathetic really and it reflects badly on them and every supporter of the club. I was below the banner and it is fair to say that had I seen it I would have gone up and tried to take it down myself.
  9. To be fair to Aaron he wasn't bad last week. Like everyone else he needs consistency.
  10. Nice try Caro! MFC supporters won't be biting.
  11. Not to single you out Damien, but how did you know the game would turn out bad? The point I make is that we would not want the players driving into the 'G' with that attitude. The last game I truly enjoyed was round 10 last year when we beat Adelaide after we were expected to easily beaten. BTW, I know what you mean about stress, but I have enough of that in everything else in my life. I am able (somehow) to go to the football and just let it unfold before me knowing there is stuff all I can do to influence the result except cheer and boo, which is a waste of time at home!
  12. No doubt you are a better supporter than many. Clearly there are many Melbourne members and supporters not going to games because it is not delivering them an enjoyable experience. We expect players to turn up, get it right, peform, gut it out but it is obvious by our crowds that many haven't got the ticker themselves.
  13. So the loss was entirely the fault of MFC listed players?
  14. Take me too long to do the whole team so my three word analysis for the whole side would be.... not good enough
  15. If he gets 8 he will back for the game against.....US! FFS!!!
  16. We can win because Carlton are at least as shite as us plus they have made losing part of their culture.
  17. We will loose money, no doubt. We should sell these games to whoever will give us a buck for them. The club is going to bleed to death at this rate.
  18. I have the same disease
  19. It could be out of desperation but that about sums it up for me. If he was still in the draft above a third round pick. Subject him to weekly drug tests.
  20. You could see Stakers eyes role back in his head ( ) as went down. Surely that has to be an extra couple of weeks?
  21. Not sure what you mean by this but I am tired of watching guys who look like they can't play AND back it up with poor disposal as well as players who are one sided. Agreed.
  22. mo, how many games have you been too? I went to two of our pre-season matches and have been to the first three games and there was huge improvement in the 'footy basics' against Geelong including players running to space, continuous movement through passages of play and pressure on the opposition ball carrriers for the FIRST time this year. Bailey wouldn't instruct them to handball to stationary targets but as a last option that is sometimes what happens, especially in close in situations. Ideally the bloke who has given off the handball to someone flat footed should immediately be moving to receive.
  23. "While Melbourne's training-base problems and lack of a permanent home ground have been widely discussed recently and North Melbourne's sub-standard facilities at Arden Street are a problem for the competition, Demetriou said that Richmond's problems were significant." Cop that from Vlad, WTF. Not having any ground for 5 months is OK then? Oh yeh, our problems have been discussed, that's OK then.
  24. Why mention it then?
  25. Yep! Wouldn't want us injecting any new DNA into their part of the world
