  1. 2024 draft prospect, Harvey Langford is training with the Dee's for a week: Harvey Langford (Dandenong Stingrays) Midfielder/Forward | 188cm | 15/03/2006 Langford put together a stellar bottom-aged campaign with Dandenong, averaging 22 disposals and just under a goal per his 14 games. His consistency through the middle stages of the Talent League season was outstanding, standing up as a young leader in the Stingrays side. In terms of style, he’s a strong stoppage player with clean hands and the ability to impact when rotating forward. Intrepid reporters and fence jumpers might get a glimpse if they venture out to Casey in the next week. If so, we'd love to hear from you - @stinga @picket fence @waynewussell and any others!
  2. This clown has Essendon's team at 13th - lol! I don't think we need to waste any more time on this article: PLAYERS UNDER 24: Xavier Duursma (23 years old), Jye Caldwell (23), Harrison Jones (22), Nic Martin (22), Sam Durham (22), Nick Bryan (22), Nik Cox (21), Zach Reid (21), Archie Perkins (21), Jaiden Hunter (21), Kaine Baldwin (21), Jye Menzie (21), Ben Hobbs (20), Tex Wanganeen (20), Jayden Davey (19), Alwyn Davey Jnr (19), Lewis Hayes (19), Lual Luamon (18), Nate Caddy (18), Vigo Visentini (18), Archie Roberts (18) TOP 5: Nic Martin, Jye Caldwell, Xavier Duursma, Archie Perkins, Ben Hobbs. The Bombers boast one of the league’s most promising young cohorts whose positions range across the ground. This group is headed by rising guns Jye Caldwell, Nick Martin and new recruit Xavier Duursma, with the likes of Archie Perkins, Elijah Tsatas and Harrison Jones not too far behind. Recent draft additions such as dynamic key forward Nate Caddy and running defenders Lual Luamon and Archie Roberts further boost this young core, as they should all push for senior debuts in 2024. Essendon fans have been patiently waiting for their first finals win since 2004, and it seems that these promising youngsters will finally take them there in the near future. League ranking: 13th
  3. Well blow me down, McKercher has a sore tooth!! I'm happy to have a meltdown if one of our players has hamstring awareness or sharts, but seriously, can we consign the injury reports on enemy players to the tip? (unless of course, we are about to play them) Cheers
  4. Great work thanks W'dee! Any of the players in noticeably different positions in match sim - or too hard to tell. I'm confident T-Mac won't play down back again unless filling in.
  5. Losing Sheriff is disappointing. IIRC, wasn't she the first player through the Casey Dee's? She's got some good speed. If Birch is going too, I'd like pick 5 from the Hawks thanks - I hope Eliza West stays. I think Harris' year was injury-riddled, so happy to keep her on board. We've got a great list and I hope we can keep most of it together. We were in total control for most of the season but failed to transition to finals footy until the last quarter v Geelong.
  6. And for a seamless transition into verse 3 : Dee girls are red Dee boys are blue Along came the finals And both teams shot through. You'd be forgiven for thinking it was from the same author poet
  7. Wayne - if you could refrain from interrupting my tantrum, that would be appreciated. Any entry onto Gosch's cannot be considered anything other than an official turf war, however brief. We are, after all, talking about the Filth. Thank you, I rest my case
  8. Absolutely nothing! It was the first place that popped into my head that was an adequate distance from Melbourne. How about the sewage treatment plant at Werribee? A bit too close but it seems to fit the bill?
  9. I'm just reading on the AFL website that Collingwood will start their preseason at Gosches due to resurfacing works: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1066756/collingwood-magpies-invite-vafa-star-sam-sofronidis-for-trial-ahead-of-ssp-opening What the actual [censored]? Please don't tell me we're stepping aside to accommodate those [censored]. I don't give a toss that we have Casey to train at. They can [censored] off somewhere else.... preferably Bairnsdale
  10. Do we have any other spots on the Rookie List apart from Kynon Brown?
  11. That's potentially pick 1 and 2 in next year's draft. You'd have to look at it
  12. Reid or Duursma following trade-up, or Curtain, Sanders, Leake at 6 then Windsor, Leake, O'Sullivan, Caddy, K-Thol at 11 then Simpson at 42 Clearly, I have NFI but not too many players in the top ten-ish that I would be unhappy with.
  13. As a general rule, if your Round 1 game is at home, your final game will be away and vice versa. There are a few exceptions eg. North might have a home game at Marvel in Round 1 and a home game in Tassie in Round 24. Eg. 2 MCG tenants (excluding Melb) might have home and away games at the G in the first and final round - eg. Carlton, eg. Carlton eg. Carlton. When a team gets a home game at the start and end of the year (rare), it will be an interstate team and the following year they may have both as away games eg. Port.
  14. Twomey's November Rankings: https://www.afl.com.au/news/1062561/cal-twomeys-phantom-form-guide-top-draft-prospects-november-ranking
  15. Not only that, Reid's fend-offs are more like Harmsey's than Dusty's - HUGE RISK!
  16. Who doesn't love a good death ride?
  17. I think we'll definitely attempt to get Duursma but not sure North will be fun to deal with.
  18. They just did a top 40, not a phantom draft. But by their ranking we would have Caddy and Leake
  19. We have late picks available as well if needed - in the 90's, I think. So, it's immaterial if we have 42 or not, so long as we have the correct no. of players on the list when it's all said and done.
