  1. Bummer! Would have been nice to sneak off with Perris. He probably wont get quite so far in the draft now.
  2. On a separate note. What does anyone know of: Horlin-Smith - I think he's contracted but would love him at the Dees Schroder - Don't know anything about him other than winning the Liston Murdoch - Reminds me a bit of Isaac Smith Cowan - Injury and contract status?
  3. Better than Richmond trying to wrangle pick 1 out of a direct trade
  4. Gysberts probably would have been a gun 10 or so years ago, but not the way the game's played now. If you cant run and spread you have to be carried, so he's out. Time to move on
  5. Garlett features in the wee paper again today. He has to be an angel compared to Dusty. I wonder if Roos will drop by. PS Pennant - any further thoughts on Garlett since your last excellent write-up? Is he likely to build a tank?
  6. Adams or Swallow I'd love Martin, but he's too high a risk and a [censored] to boot
  7. I hope they're interviewing him for the part-time ruck coaching role
  8. A site run by a troll? That'll last!
  9. Hardly his strongest quality - or anywhere near it.
  10. I remember during Neeld's first (or one of the earliest) media interviews done by Neeld. One of the journo's asked him what his strongest quality was as a coach - Neeld said "building relationships" LOL
  11. I don't think he has, but that's just me
  12. I think the arguments against trading for Yarran are well reasoned and solid - so I thought I'd just yell instead! FWIW, I acknowledge his attributes and I wouldn't be against picking him up cheaply, like if he walked to us in the PSD or we were forced to sacrifice, I dunno, Strauss or something, but that's about it.
  13. NO TO YARRAN FFS Now move on Thanks
  14. I'd just take the 'free' sign
  15. Terlich - very ordinary disposal
  16. Bad luck - I'm pretty sure Bail is contracted until next year
  17. Quite possibly but whopping error if Choco is still on the radar
  18. I dont know if this has been mentioned elsewhere and cant be fagged scrolling back through threads but did anyone listen to the interview with Glen Bartlett on the MFC website called " Glen Bartlett Reveals Coach Candidates" There's no direct discussion of candidates per se (aside from Bartlett saying he's not prepared to discuss much at this point), rather footage of what I can only assume are the candidates for the job. The footage shows: Roos, Eade, Voss and Craig I think it would be reasonable to assume that the coach is out of that lot. The absence of Choco footage would lead me to believe, he's not on the AFL's MFC's list, given the title of the interview.
  19. Rischitelli (when fit) would be our 2nd or 3rd best mid at the moment. Jones would be ahead of him, Viney will be and Sylvia can be when he puts his mind to it. I assume he would come fairly cheaply so would happily take him for a couple of years if it means not having to toss up between Roden, Nicho and Bail for that last midfield spot.
  20. It's lucky we don't have our own MFC reserves side. We'd probably have to forfeit the finals.
  21. Has a contract offer from the Suns for next year. The article below discusses form and injuries: http://www.goldcoastfc.com.au/news/2013-08-22/sun-veterans-wanted-but-no-guarantees-mckenna
  22. Hypothetical Would, could, should this work? Pick 2 to Adelaide in exchange for Crouch The rationale being: 1) Adelaide have no early draft picks 2) Adelaide would be guaranteed home town boy James Aish 3) Adelaide get a gun mid (unproven) 3) Melbourne get a proven mid (well, I've seen enough) and gun in the making with 2 years in the system and 1 year at AFL level. 4) No go home factor Would Adelaide do it? Could we do the equivalent with Port with say Wines. IMO Wines is good but not that good and he's no Crouch Reminder - hypothetical
