  1. I usually ignore "your"posts because they are packed full of irrelevances and "you're" off in a World of "your" own. I made a mistake of reading a couple and I can assure you I won't fall in to that trap again. Do you actually read any of your posts and if so, can't you see that they bear no relevance to the posts you are responding to?
  2. I think the word out of Norf was that he wasn't prepared to put in and from what he said in his interview he carried that on here; I guess when you're faced with the chop and the end of your career it can be quite motivating.
  3. Maybe you should get someone to read to you and explain the article written about Pederson and at the same time get someone to read my post and help you out with that as well. Waste of time, probably.
  4. I gather you don't, what he said about Maric was wrong and I must confess I'd forgotten that and I could understand why a lot don't like him.
  5. I've noticed at times this year Malthouse is really nice to the journos, sickeningly so and at other times he's like a cut snake; maybe he's been told to tone it down but at times it's just too much for him. I don't dislike MM, but I'm happy to see Carlton wallow.
  6. The problem for Stef was backing it up week after week, he is capable of playing good football but not all the time. Good on him, I thought he had a bit of a future, but he did need the number one position and his best year with us was when he had it and the Russian was injured.
  7. Jake gives it his all and has improved over the last few years; he's still pretty raw and does some incredibly silly things at times, but they'll get fewer as he gets mor confidence and games under his belt. He will be ok and the club must love him because they've shown great faith in him over the last 5 or so years.
  8. For once I think McGuire was right.
  9. I think the appraisal justifies the criticism he received on here; he was not up to scratch last year, we knew it the club knew it, but I guess some posters on here just weren't prepared to accept it. He's playing good football this year and that's all anyone wanted, he obviously listened to what they said and accepted that to continue he had to change. Well done, some like Gysbets just weren't prepared to.
  10. Not a saviour BB just another piece of the puzzle and one that will give us more options, he's played a fair bit down back and to have him playing together with Chip and Pedo will ensure we have the flexibility to match or mismatch when the need arises.
  11. That sounds the most promising report we've heard so far.
  12. I think Tappy just hasn't had a good run at it, he seems to get one injury after another, maybe if he could get in to the main group at pre season instead of the rehab group he might give it a shot.
  13. I don't think the video says one thing or the other to be quite honest, he is, by the look of it, waiting for his manager to come back to him to discuss what's available. There's no point having a manager if you simply ignore what he has been able to come up with. BTW I'd love to see him start a few games in the middle.
  14. Whatever the case it's great to see we have drafted some quality, I was getting sick of seeing most other clubs getting good players at both ends of the draft whilst we struggled to get anything good with high picks. The choice of JKH was inspired and this kid will be a star, although I'm not sure where he will finish up playing, he can just about play anywhere, forward or back or midfield. Tyson, Salem and JKH, then throw in Vince, Cross, Michie and Riley and you have 5 long term and 2 teachers all in the one draft. Of course you have a few young kids as well, Hunt, King and Harmes; you have to wonder where we'd be if Roos, Taylor and Viney had had the opportunity to do this last year and the year before.
  15. Heard the press conference and he apparently missed appointments and was often late for training, they said this was the final straw and the players association were informed of it before he was sacked.
  16. All too true, he is playing well, good on him for proving himself. And for proving those of us like me who thought he wasn't up to it. Roos just loves the battlers doesn't he.
  17. I was listening to SEN last week and interestingly they were talking about this type of incident and said it was chargeable, perhaps they figured Russian never intended to hit him which he probably didn't. If he didn't connect with that from that distance he wouldn't be much of a tap ruck , would he.
  18. Also, watch the attempted mark by Yarran in the last line of defence against Brisbane and as he is coming down note that J Brown grabs his feet forcing him to drop the ball and Brisbane score a goal from it. Should have been a mark or free to Yarran and Brown should be suspended.
  19. I don't care if they start at midnight, I'll still be there. Might be on my own though.
  20. The weagles are only interested in success and if Simpson can't deliver they will blame him not the list, interesting times over there, they do like to have their own in charge and he's a Victorian so that's a tick against.
  21. Melbourne have to develop some blockbuster type games of their own, like the Field of Women match against the Doggies; if we could get 45,000 plus to that game every year it would be double the number expected to a normal Dees v Dogs game. We might even be able to have a blockbuster type game against Richmond as the original tenants of the G, or Sydney on ANZAC day or eve. There are many opportunities, even build the Melbourne v Port game in Alice. We could, of course have an annual Kruezer cup against Carlton.
  22. In all the excitement Jack Viney is slipping under the Radar, along with Nathan Jones.
