He seems to have a great temperament for the game, he doesn't seem to get phased by heavy treatment and just gets on with the job. Great left foot over a distance and is getting better over the shorter distance. Thanks Giants.

I thought Watts was sensational today, he did all the things we have accused I'm of not doing in the past, I'm as guilty as anyone. Ever since Roos had a dip at both he and Howe they have improved immeasurably and I reckon today was the making of Wattsy and just showed how good Howe is. We still make mistakes and that's why the top teams will probably beat us, but as time goes by we will make fewer mistakes and games will all of a sudden be winnable. One thing that we must do is try to keep Cross playing for a few more years, he is a gem and just backs up, contest after contest. Pederson, what can you say he is playing out of his skin at the moment and just gets better every week, boy has he turned it around. I'm glad that Roos has shown more faith in some of the players than I have.

I doubt that the passing of Tommy will have any effect on the game at all, once the players get out there it's just another football march.

Yes I heard that too and it was also said that he had been in trouble before this but the club had managed to keep it quiet; it would appear that he mixes with a pretty ordinary bunch (and his friends aren't much better). John Ralph stated that the GWS players sledge more than any other club and seem to think they've done it all already, you have to wonder how many of the young guys up there just want to play football and would prefer out of the place, like Dom Tyson. There are a few up there that you wouldn't touch.

Think you are wrong there Hood I'd say there will be no winners out of this and the figure of $500 extra tax for over $200k is fanciful, it will be more like $4k. This Government is finished and all they will do is stuff the coffers with Tax for the next Labor Government to squander, they don't have a snowball's hope in hell of re election when people like me won't vote for them. I find it hard to believe the players didn't know what was going on, all they had to do was make a phone call to their own doctor or perhaps the AFL, for advice. They were told this was right on the edge so there must have been some concern; ignorance is bliss. They tried to cheat their way to a flag and got caught, you roll the dice and sometimes the wrong numbers come up.

Used to see Tommy down at St Kilda beach when I went for a run, he would always stop and have a chat one of the nicest people you could meet. He used to have a swim after his exercises every day irrespective of the weather he was fanatical about fitness. Sorry to hear this RIP Tom.

Absolutely spot on Jack, I'm sick of seeing clubs get ahead because they have really good chemists. It's time they cleaned this out once and for all, it will have some short term pain for some but long term gain for all; you can't just say, "hey you cheated and that's naughty, don't do it again". There has to be penalties so no one is under any illusion that you can do it and get away with it.

Dom has a great left foot but it let's him down a bit when he has to kick under 30mtrs; when he has a ping at goal from outside 50 you can almost back it in.

Howey has good hands, much like Grimes and if he tries to mark more often, like grimes does, he would be a much better footballer.

I noticed some of their players, who were caught with the ball, throwing punches everywhere in a lame attempt to look like they were trying to punch the ball clear. There seems to be an increasing incidence of this and a lot of the punches seem to land on opposition faces.

We lost because the umpire stuffed up a free, Jones should have run in further, steadied and kicked the goal and finally they simply ran out of legs in the last few minutes. Players were running up and down on the spot at the end and fitness let us down.

I wouldn't mind Bomba as coach, I think we need an experienced coach coming from a strong club/s; that's what worries me about Ratten, he may be a good coach but he's tarnished with the tanking and comes from the Carlton club which has dubious a history.

I thought so. I think they have a few problems in their back line and Shoenemakers(?) seems to be a bit of a front runner; I have nothing against Cheney and was disappointed when we moved him on but he was a flanker at best imo.
