Just going off what I’ve read, I’ve been out of the country for 5 weeks so haven’t seen any footy for a while.

Wildcard weekend will never make more sense neither will more teams. I read that next year Tasmania will have an AFLW team, so another team into a league that has already expanded way too quickly. I read in another article that the AFLW is currently running at a loss in the millions each year. I’m all for a women’s competition but it should have been 4 teams from Vic with 1 each from QLD, NSW, WA & SA. Bringing a ninth team in Tassie would mean they could have a top five playing finals and had a decent product, and it should remain at this many teams for the next twenty years. The men’s competition has been around for how long and we don’t have talent for 18 teams. Just the game alone & fix the basics ie umpiring, tribunal.

When do the interviews start?

Agreed, if Trac was better in front of goal we might be thinking different but he’s not. Happy if he stays, if only we had a coach….

About 6-8 weeks back there was a lot of keep Trac and trade Oliver from posters including myself, i think things have done a 180.

Our issues were bigger than Oliver’s form.

So he’s had the season we’ve had and he strolled on in thinking it’s just another normal board meeting….so we’re to believe he honestly thought he was safe and didn’t feel the need to present differently to the board because it was considered a normal / routine board meeting. What did he discuss then? He’s been involved in footy long enough to know he was in trouble, and now some are calling the his sacking a mistake, comical.

It’s just been revealed that any potential suitor for the coaching role will have to answer this question. Will Petty be moved back into defense?

No one in the media saw this coming today, they a were all pedalling the same story, no one in a position to make the hard call. Yet now they all know who are our preferred options to replace Goodwin, hopefully it’s another case of why we distract you over here we’re doing something over there and our new coach surprises all. Someone across the the current style of game would be ideal.

Waiting till the end of the season was fraught with danger. I’m proud of my club, clearly his potential payout was considered but so was a player and fan exodus. The club can breathe again and suddenly footy seems fun again. There will be a shoot out at the G this weekend.

Having the uncertainty surrounding Goodwin is / was not good for player retention. Thanks for 2021 Goody, you will forever be remembered for that! Proud the club had what it takes to make the right / tough call, many didn’t see this coming, we move fwd now. Back to playing finals in 2026.
