Long road for Carlton, if they were to grow some and put a Gibbs/Murphy on the trade table who would be interested? They're not worth a first rounder. I think teams would rather back themselves in the draft.
-
Yep, we should beat both this year. Gibbs and Murphy, more worried about their hair, two wasted picks, no leadership.

"He runs around to get the angle".....he was straight in bloody front.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5

I keep reading//hearing that Grimes/McKenzie are being rewarded for their efforts at Casey. Let's not loose sight that if not for injurys they wouldn't be in the side at all. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 5
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
The top 4 sides all have star players but it's their bottom 5-6 which can often prove the difference. Not talking about getting themselves up for a one off cameo but being able to play at a consistent level, stepping straight in and playing their role. But as we know we have next to no depth, we are still 1-2 years away from that. -

Never worked out how to post links but on the AFL they have a story about the international draft combine. Standing at 201cm Jalen Carethers has almost broken the 20 metre sprint at 2.79 seconds. Looks quite athletic and ready to play. A year at Casy.....

Dees v Dockers - Round 5

Considering what the Dockers did to the Swans and Eagles in their respective first qtrs it will interesting to see what happens. Stating the bleeding obvious we can't follow suite. -
Dees v Dockers - Round 5

I think GWS at $2.45 is worth a look against the Eagles. Eagles lost to the dogs, beat Carlton, got flogged by Freo(don't worry about the final score, Freo had put the cue away knowing they had Sydney the following week) then they beat the Lions. They are the crows of last week. They've beaten no one of value. -

Lets see how the whole team goes, if the delivery is poor..... -
Yeah you got me, missed a word. That's what happens when you post whilst cooking dinner.

All jokes aside just shows how far behind the 8ball we were as a club. Sure Col could off pushed himself harder but we as a club tolerated it. As Jones said on game day, over the pre season Roos handed ownership of the culture to the players, the fact the senior players such as Jones Dunn Tmac as well as new comers like Angus and Hogan all get 2-3 years under Roos is massive. There are no more excuses, this has to be player driven. We have recruited enough players from other clubs to know how it's done at more successful clubs. Players who meet expectations should be shown the door.

Issues off the field killing the game

Theres not a lot on TV full stop. Only I've really enjoyed was the British version of Sherlock Holmes which was 3 movie length episodes a year drawn out over 3 years. -

Its bloody funnier than anything on free to air TV. Hutchy's a [censored], we know that and Pickers isn't much better. 3 blokes sitting around talking a bit of footy, talking a bit of crap. I go straight from there to The Saturday Rub on Tripple M. Feel free to judge because I don't care. -

Id like to think it does matter considering the climate we live in. One could easily say the story was devised to distract from the teams onfield performance(without Bachar's knowledge). That's the problem isn't it, mud does stick. Should this have been investigated more before going public. -

I watched the whole game......don't judge me.....I live in Sydney, it was wet and three games live on TV.McCarthy played well, the whole team did. All things considered Hogan played a better game than McCarthy but he can. As eluded to earlier Cripps will give Hogan a run this week. -
