POST MATCH DISCUSSION - Round 16
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Richmond before last night were supposedly an in form team. Swans last 4 wins Suns Dees minus 5-6 first 18 players Bombers Tigers Not much to write home about there. Their next 4 Giants, Saints, Hawks and Cats will tell us more about how they're travelling. -

I still believe we're the inform team of the competition when you look at/compare who we've played. -

As much as these injuries are hurting us they're also making us stronger. Players able to play multiple roles, playing as a team with a never say die attitude. -

A lot of love for Jetta and understandably so, but I thought Frost also played well, I liked his smother of the attempted underground handball. Hunt and Hannan also very good. Vince frustrated at times but also did some good things. Pedo's one hander against Weitering. -
AFL Round 16 - Non MFC Games 2017
Bombay Airconditioning replied to rjay's topic in Melbourne Demons
Richmond supporters claiming they didn't turn up. 6-7 weeks out from finals and being one of the supposed two in form teams of the competition. If they don't finish top 4 a finals performance like that will see them bundled out in the first week, again. To be honest they pushed a few teams I thought they would struggle against but last night they showed their true colours, the Tigers of old are back. -
FFS Put Hunt back on the back flank.

Not sure if mentioned in other match related threads but I'm very much looking forward to Frost v Franklin. I think Frost will have Buddy's measure and expose him going the other way, and yes I'm aware some of Frosts kicks are a little wayward but his kicking has improved.

JKH signs one year extension
Bombay Airconditioning replied to TeamPlayedFine39's topic in Melbourne Demons
I still remember him kicking 3 second half goals against the Tigers in a pre season game about 3-4 years ago. A few years back his VFL form would of warranted a 3 year extension, 1 year works for both parties. -
Beat me to it, was just looking ahead to next weeks games.

So just to clarify.... Dimma is coach of the year so far. Collingwood have the best midfield, and the Swans are currently the inform team of the comp? Who is Mark Robinson. -

This context of this win was massive but when we discuss which players we had put we should also discuss Kennedy, Nic Nat and Lecra. -

Players can get kneed in the head when someone flys for a speccy. Viney was playing the ball, yes he left the ground but he didn't tuck an elbow in when doing so. If he gets a week/s for this the club should fight it. -

His eyes being on the ball should be what gets him off. If not for Hurn touching the ball Viney takes possession of it. Viney didn't raise an elbow nor did he go past the ball to initiate contact. -

Sydney was very beatable before last nights game even started. They were very lucky to win the last two weeks, they aren't anywhere near what they were in recent years. -
Was thinking along a similar line but we have to remember : Where we are coming from. Our recent history playing interstate sides. We gave up a lead before storming over the top of them. (Some people put the North game down as "they were due for a loss" and they were meant to bounce back at home) Where does this put Richmond then.

He's flown for a few, haven't seen him pull one down yet.

Agree we can beat anyone on our day Wise, and yes we came to play today. Wayne Bennett (very successful rugby league coach for those that don't know) was the master of finding negatives in great wins and the positives in defeat. My negative would be, and this has been the case all year, and that is too many occasions when we tackle the opponent they are still able to get a handball away. This seems to run through the majority of the side, it may not of cost us today but it's an area that I believe needs addressing. Group tackles are different and something we also do a lot off. I would add there were a lot of smothers in the 1st qtr which was great to see and really set the tone for the day. -
I have a major issue with Oscar.... What the hell is going on with that moustache.
