GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
We had it on as background noise LDC, the two eldest occasionally looked up at the TV. 12yr old girl’s enthusiasm perked up only when Fritta appeared as he’s become her favourite, 10yr old boy was totally confused with all the rules and basically tuned off. Their words “ this is silly Dad.” They were a lot more involved and excited in our ladies’ match yesterday. A night out last year for the family at AFLX was a lot more entertaining as the team was running around then. Big fail in my opinion this year.

AFLW: Rd 4 vs North Melbourne
Very winnable game from here, just need to tighten up. We seem to be going down the boundary a lot and allowing Norf loose players through the middle on the rebound.

Post Practice Match Discussion - Melbourne v Collingwood
Thanks for the prompting to head over, must say it was a great laugh. It’s almost worth joining up over there just to give this Pie fan a like. “The Oliver bagging is embarrassing, he is a very, very good footballer & for his age will only get better, possibly elite. Would love to have him. Keep your snout in the trough Piggy!”

Marty Hore is a good price with some agencies at $81 for the Rising Star. Problem is, he’s ineligible for the award, unless the AFL are maintaining their standards of tweaking rules to now allow mature age recruits to become eligible.

Post Practice Match Discussion - Melbourne v Collingwood
Hunt was the biggest positive after no listed injuries, for me anyway. While it was good to get a look at the unknown, Preuss, Sparrow, C Wagner to name a few, it was great getting back to what we know about Hunt. Really enjoyed his game, first half especially. Seemed confident again with a bit of dash, broke a couple of tackles, lowered the eyes a few times and managed to hit his targets more often than not. If he keeps this kind of showing up he will definitely deserve a spot in what’s a tough back 6 to crack into. On Lewis, I’m sure we’ll have a few conversations about his place in the team during the year for one reason or another, but watching from the same level as the players, even though he’s prone to a few lazy passes, his kicking really is sublime.

One punter just said goodbye to in excess of $37k after slapping it on Zousain. Can’t even say the punter got a run for their dosh. I say Insane, Zousain.

A Day at the Races
What excitement? I only played the theme song about 100 times on the way into work after the game. Back on topic, keen to see how News Girl goes in the 4th at Caulfield. Two good runs behind Crack The Code although it didn’t run too well last night, mate says the step up to 1400 shouldn’t be a problem.

GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
Fritta was working the Hubba Bubba over last night. That’s my take from viewing. His celebration after winning Rock, Paper, Scissors against Higgins was good too.

Injury List - Season 2019
Thanks, i didn’t notice him at all, probably because i kept ducking out behind the buildings for shade during the breaks. Early days i know, but it doesn’t look good for him in his final year of contract if he can’t gain a spot in a scratch match and the team will only get stronger from here.

Is Josh Wagner injured or was he simply left out yesterday?

GAME DAY - Scratch Match vs Collingwood
Seen enough of Sparrow. Wins the ball and breaks free from 4 Pies in the middle for a release and now drills a beauty. Small sample but I don’t care, looks like he belongs.

Really pleasing to see. Terrific game so far by Hunt. He looks really composed with ball in hand.

Not sure if heartbreaking, I’d be interested to read what kind of item breaking occurred after Round 2 2016.
