Have we a team of competitors?
Straight Sets Simon replied to thesleepinggiant's topic in Melbourne Demons
Individual performances will help, but the greatest improvement will come from the players actually playing as a collective and working as a team. -
Training - Thursday 25th February, 2016
Straight Sets Simon replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Great photos. How does Jack Grimes look younger now than he did five years ago? -
This. If we had Jason Taylor six years ago instead of Barry Prendergast we would be up the top of the ladder. Yes, there are a lot of issues with the AFL in terms of equity, but most club misfortunes are brought on by the clubs themselves. I can guarantee that most people who post on Demonland don't fully understand free agency, people need to do a little research before having a whinge.

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Straight Sets Simon replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
I can't wait to see Fyfe, Neale and Fremantle's first round picks for two years running around in the red and blue. -

What about if we win five games this year then win the flag next year, will he still walk? -
The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan

Why, are we planning on trading him to Carlton? -
The good thing is too, as that type of player he is naturally always around the ball so it will be unlikely that he will go missing for long periods of time during games.

Who will form our leadership group in 2016?
Straight Sets Simon replied to UltimateDemon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think Jetta would make a terrific leader. -

Very good post. What I find interesting however is how a team like Sydney seem be able to bring in young players like Mills and Heaney who fit the Sydney mold of being lean through the hips and waist and yet strong in the shoulders and arms. It seems to take our players three or four years to get like that (if at all), and yet Sydney can do it in the space of a few months. I realise those two players have come through their academy, but it was the same with Hannebury and Parker.

They don't work for SEN, they simply buy the program which is made by Hutchison's company Crocmedia (perfect name for it). The show, Off The Bench was barely tolerable with Dr Turf, now that Dr Turf is no longer on the show it is complete and utter rubbish. How a company like McDonald's can get the obese Hutchison to endorse their products is beyond me. On another note, I take back everything positive I said about Andy Maher. On his own he is somehow even far worse than before, his interview on Friday with Paul Roos was a disgrace.

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
Straight Sets Simon replied to McQueen's topic in Melbourne Demons
He does because he's a phlog, but in terms of generating news I would say a lot of media want to him to leave. Plus, because he would be leaving Melbourne and we are a soft target so the story would write itself. -
Google chromecast for the AFL app

Apple TV works for me, it didn't before 2015 but does now. The quality isn't great, but it's watchable. -

The media so badly want Hogan to leave. -
Ridiculous Jack Viney rumour
Straight Sets Simon replied to Leoncelli_36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Has he seen Viney play? -
I remember seeing Polec in his first NAB Cup game at Brisbane and knowing he was going to be a star.

Even with Roos' obvious love for Lumumba, I'd be surprised if he plays round 1 because of his ankles. I also wouldn't be surprised if Watts misses out, but the rest of the team looks likely at this stage. I can easily see Wagner or White competing for one of the halfback positions.

Roos - Yet to Commit to 2017
Straight Sets Simon replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
That was the whole reason we changed to this logo in 2008:
