  1. Joeboy, i have never been one to disagree with your opinion vocally, but [censored] mate, that is a bad assessment.
  2. I think its a fantastic idea... However, as it stands at the moment, the MFC - train part time at the junction - are developing state of the art facilities in Casey, where we also have our affiliate VFL side - building community relationships in Melbournes biggest growth area - have the MCG as our 'home' ground, where we at present also have our offices - setting up a new administration home in the new rectangle sporting precinct and now we want to play home games in the NT and develop a community following there as well. Is anyone else confused where our 'home' actually is?
  3. I think its mainly to do with the fact that its a St Kilda home game. Ordinarily it would have been at TD, which would have been on foxtel anyway. But yeah its [censored]!
  4. Wow Jill, you certainly have a lot to talk about...... So many answers, so little time. So in short.....Go Dees!!
  5. Yeah thats true mate. Exams start that weekend for all school goers I believe. I would assume a debut here would be out of the question.
  6. Question. I havent seen any Casey games in the last 3 weeks, and perhaps KC from Casey can help out here too, but is Watts playing consistently in a forward role? I have seen him in a couple of games where he has gone down the ground just to keep him in the game. Are they giving him every opportunity to get his form back?
  7. HAHAHA...thats pretty funny. Clinical, but funny.
  8. What a fantastic clip. Gee it used to be a good game...
  9. haha no not at all. Iam in the same boat. I want / nay, need Watts to play by the 11 Aug!!!!!!!
  10. haha!! that was a beautiful post. I really wish that i had the time (however not in your terrible circumstances) to dedicate to writing a long a meaningful post such as this one. there have been some hurtful and remarkable comments made about a club legend over teh past 24 hours, and all totally un warrented. You have hit the nail on the head, as I feel a few of us have, but it has fallen on deaf ears to alot of angry people around here. I would suggest you brace yourself for whats to come next. Hope your back gets better mate. Go Dees, and go Robbo.
  11. Michael Newton isnt Russell Robertson.
  12. As previously stated Rhino, perhaps, Rushed, Lapse of judgment or panicked, whatever descriptive word you want to use, but to label him selfish for that particular act, is unfair. Yes he should have gone back and had a set shot, I know it, you know it, and I would dare say that even Robbo knows it. Lets move on. I mentioned that fact that he has kicked 400 plus goals to simply highlight the fact, that despite the fact that people now think that his high flying marks are a sign of selfishness, the guy can kick goals. Theres just some very harsh words being thrown around in the face of what just seems to be a storm in a tea cup.
  13. Does anybody seriously think, that Robbo attempting to kick a goal on the ground was him putting personal glory ahead of the team??? I cant actually figure that one out? It was an absolute lapse of judgment, and that is it. Robbo got dragged after the incident, and more than likely has been put on notice for him past 2 performances. This should really be the end of the subject. Robbo is Robbo, and its why you ether love him or hate him. He excites alot of fans and whether you like it or not, provides a valuable target up forward (R9 aside). As someone has previously said, he has kicked 400 odd goals for a reason, hes no dud. So just relax for another week, because i am sure by then everyone will have another player that they will want to crucify and call for the head!
  14. Miller is the reason we are on the bottom of the ladder. That is a remarkable comment. Drop Miller for Watts? Watts is a 17 year old who hasnt completed anywhere near enough training sessions and would be belted if we put him in a side WITHOUT miller to protect him around the ball. But i am sure you knew that. The fact is mate, Miller IS in our best 22. Maybe that says more about our list, but I think its a good thing.
  15. I have to argue that point. Yes is makes no difference to our bottom line, but what does it say about a club and its supporter base, if they are only attending home games? You will find us loosing our big games and a reduction (if thats at all possible from where we sit) commercial TV exposure, if fans arnt prepared to turn up home AND away.
  16. There was only one thing more disapointing than the demons performance today, and that was the lack of supposed 'supporters'. From the 39,384 (??) people who were there, seriously, there would have been perhaps 1000 - 1500 Dees fans there. What is it going to take for these 'supporters' to get off their arse and what the team that they supposedly 'support'. I can fully appreciate that it may have been a little late for some who need to catch trains, get the kids of to bed etc etc, however, roughly 38 000 Hawthorn fans can do it. After some impressive performances in the last couple of weeks, it was a very very poor turn out indeed. We bang on about how commentators like Brian Taylor pay fans and the club no respect, well how about you rock up!
  17. Absolutely correct. End thread! Did you happen to see some of the supply he was getting. Miller is going to have a crook back from bending over so low. His consistency is an issue, but the same could be said for half the side. I would like to see a previous champion forward (where are you Lyon or Ox) take him under his arm for a while. Like our previous fearless captain, he is a confidence player, and is a very valuable addition when going.
  18. In Joeboys defense, i don't think the score was quite indicative of the way that we played today. It was an absolute insipid performance! We got flogged all over the ground, and frankly, the Demons have gone way backwards in their progress. Very upsetting!
  19. I remember a few years back now, when Melb used to play Syd in Syd on the Saturday of Anzac weekend. I was under the impression at the time that they were trying to build a fierce Melb v Syd rivalry, but it didnt happen this year (and maybe last year I cant quite remember). I really like the idea of the 2 capitals as a rivalry.
  20. Yep. Absolutely. Its a joke that they wont give this guy 2 games in a friggin row!!!
  21. Miller isnt the only one on the list to have a couple of bad games this season. Your names sake for example. I think you will find that if you took some time and watched Miller play, he deserves more than what your one liner suggests.
  22. Carrol Funkle Morcroft Shanahan Neitz (maybe motlop, I couldnt decide)
  23. Id put my money on 'no change' not appearing this year. Far too many players that we need to rotate, so we can determine who stays and who goes come seasons end.
  24. It very well may not be footy related. However ether way, its completely F#@KED. No footballer should have to have any concern for their lives, on or off the field.
