  1. Or just pop around to AFL members... and by pop around I mean, sneak through.
  2. You can practise all the goal kicking in the world, but at the end of the day, if you dont have the talent, you wont kick the goals....Thats why I am not playing in the AFL!!!! Or probably any amateur footballer with a dream for that matter. I practised and practised, but to no avail. B Miller in my opinion, in the last few weeks alone, has come on from last year, so lets just hope that improves. Green is way to valuable in getting the ball down the forward line at the moment. I think thats the priority still at this stage, actually getting into our forward 50. As someone else has said, we have to make do with what we have at the moment. Having said all this however, I would love to see the Ox down there.
  3. CC on SEN this morning said that he should be back for R3. Which all in all isnt too bad really. Also mentioned that the AFL will be interested in the tapes, as it was head high contact.
  4. I would prefer I garland played a couple of weeks out at casey, instead of rushing him back for a chance of a sneaky win for R1. I have had quite enough of these injuries!
  5. ohh god no!! Bracing myself for another pre season injury.
  6. I dont think anyone is on the Newton band wagon are they? Fitzpatrick isn't exactly game day ready.
  7. Its gut wrenching, theres no doubt about it at all. Hasn't our mate Juicy just been thrown the biggest lifeline of his career however.......
  8. Spot on. Its not an excuse, but a matter of fact. We are only hearing it so much because its all we really have to talk about at this point. And there is no point making a public statement about Miller to try and push him, I mean Miller is probably playing at the level that he is capable of. he puts in 110%, but we all know that his skill level, is not that of a lazy elite play that needs a kick up the backside.
  9. This just from the MFC website. Apologise if it has been posted already. Following scans today, the Melbourne Football Club confirms that Cale Morton has torn his posterior cruciate ligament in his right knee following a collision in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s NAB Challenge match against Essendon. A final decision on the rehabilitation and the length of time Cale will miss will be made on Monday following further examinations of the knee and consultation between Cale and the medial team. Let just pray (if your into that kinda stuff) that its not too bad, and he can return soon. Cale plays a major role in the redevelopment of the MFC. The less time he is out of the game, the faster we can start winning games again.
  10. Interesting to see that The Age today, gave him one of the best on grounds. he has (suprise suprise) coped a bit of stick again.
  11. Thats ludicrous! your saying thats its in Sheahans interest for Bailey to fail so they can continue to sell the Hun??? Maybe the fact that we have a winning percentage of only 16% is because the last 2 years we have been cleaning out the dead wood from our list, to build one, that will see our window be open for some time. We cannot judge Bailey on the past 2 years as a game day coach. That starts this year.
  12. Are you suggesting that Lyon would take this squad to a flag in the space that Bailey has left on his contract?
  13. maybe i am just searching for positives but - lets not forget, its what 21st FEB!!!!!!!!!!!???? Season proper doesn't start for another 5 weeks. I was mainly focusing on, - how well Scully uses the ball in close. His quick hands off are amazing. - trengrove attack and disposal i thought was great - J MACdonald, he is ging to be invaluable down back, and I cant believe we got him for nothing - Spencer already, was a massive improvement on last year - I think we ran out 4 qrts which is a big change and we have allot of key players to return. yeah we got pumped tonight, but heads up, look at were we are going. As disappointed I am with the loss ( and I really am ) i am very excited about the future.
  14. As much as i loved watching Carlton play terrible football tonight, I think we should perhaps hold our criticism, at least until the of a certain game tomorrow.
  15. Haha, this is pricesless. Rhino you do you this is just a meaningless exercise on an Internet forum? Everything on this site is subjective, that's what opinions are. But god forbid others having differing opinions to you, that's well established isn't it.
  16. RR for someone who thought this was a pointless exercise, you sure have a lot to contribute.
  17. without sounding like the wouzer, I would expect nothing else from ball and his manager - it's really just going through the motions. Ball knows that it's ether the dees or the saints, he has no choice but to meet with us. But yes yes very exciting indeed!
  18. My god, this is some quality useless banta. Are D.Jurah and KS from rival schools on muck up week by any chance?
  19. Just amazing. Does anyone know the title of the track and where I may be able to find it? I tunes is evil!
  20. What makes you think an 18 year old kid is going to be so 'proud' to wear the Red & Blue??
