Goody has opened up the forward line for Gawn and Grundy. Hopefully they deliver.

Tomlinson has done Pettys job pretty well. Not sure why we would continue to shaft him. It looked like it was finally clicking for Petty up forward when he got injured but when he comes back he goes back. It’s mind boggling.

Our game plan has clearly been worked out. We like to press high and turn over within our half of the ground and all the opposition need to do is flood our backline. Even if we bring the ball to ground there is no room to move for the smalls. 73 inside 50s sounds impressive but these are mostly garbage entries. Opposition need to turn the ball over maybe 6 times a game at our half forward line to kick over our press and score easy goals out the back to beat us at the moment. it looks exactly like our 2019 game plan. We’ve seen this movie before.

It needs to be called out. They are paid to be professional football players and the skill levels are not up to scratch. The game plan is not up to scratch. The way we play does not fill me with any confidence that we have an elite environment. I didn’t get too excited after the Collingwood win. They were missing heaps of players and we nearly blew that one as well. This whole trying to win the territory battle reeks of our 2019 game plan and we all Know how that ended.

Goodwin said he was proud of our effort today. That’s accepting mediocrity.

Whatever we are trying to implement forward of centre is not working on game day. Our defence and midfield work is top 4. Our forward line work is bottom 2. Very frustrating to watch watch. The skill level in the forward 50 is not afl standard. Very 2019 looking .
