Gotta agree with you on Scully. I've been such a huge supporter of him, but he is playing like crap. He's not going to be around next year. Why are we still playing him? Enough is enough. For a million dollar man he is contributing zilch.

I'm actually really starting to hate this current group of melbourne players. Can't believe i am saying this because i support them through thick and thin, but I don't think they care about the jumper anymore. I've never been so disenterested. To think that we are still a mathematical chance of making finals and everyone involved, players, supporters just want this season to end is just and indictment on how poor this club is. There needs to be a big broom swept through. I dont fall for this we have a good list crap. We have a terrible list.

I'd choose one of the assistants. There's an idea we need an experienced coach because Bailey didnt work. That's rubbish, we just chose the wrong assistant. All the coaches on that list are washed up and I would be very disappointed to land any of them.

Jimmy and the board have done a tremendous job at getting the faithful to believe again. But perhaps reuniniting former players and managers to create unity and stability instead of searching for the best available people to run the footy department may have been a mistake.

Less negatives but no positives. Is that a positive. We are so predictable. Is losing by 70 odd points after the 2nd worse defeat of all time our idea of having a crack? Pathetic.

We are so so bad. So soft. You can't teach these guys how to be hard. They just don't have it in them. Why sack Bailey, who's the genius recruiting these soft players.

I'm sure Gary will have a personal discussion with him and find out. The answer won't be public but whether or not he plays this weekend will be a good indication IMO.

I think all members of the leadership group should be replaced by watts, scully, trengove, mckenzie, frawley. Let our future stars take ownership over this club and let our "senior" players worry bout getting a kick.

Now watched a completely heartless and dis-spirited playing list have 2 coaches removed in the last 4 years. Hope they are proud of themselves.

All the players and coaching staff involved today should get 186 tattoed as a constant reminder of what they did today.

The backline has been horrible. So Many goals coughed up in the goal square.

As Allan jeans says footy is a simple game, don't complicate it. How about when the ball is coming into 50 stand next to your man.

Dont want to ruin peoples freedom of speech but would be great if this thread was purely for new developments. Not loving sifting through all the infighting for any new developments.

Constantly being the sub has ruined him. I see him as a real barometer. When he's breaking the lines we do well. West coast were hanging to draft him, and I reckon they know a thing or two about finding good players. Worth persisting.

As woeful as port have been this year they will beat us over there. I've seen nothing to suggest Melbourne will break that hoodoo this year.

1 wish. I want to be surprised. So far this year we have won the games we all thought we would and lost the ones we thought we would. Show us some sort of youthful energy and take a scalp. Give us supporters some hope that we aren't going to be ordinary forever.

I want to see Bennell play a full game. He's really getting screwed around with this sub role. On the outside he seems like having the potential to be a good impact sub, but to me he is a bit of a slow burner and works his way into the game. OUT: Strauss, Maric IN: Bartram, Evans

I think we can all be a bit naive about the game plan. We do employ a press but we don't do it well...yet. Dean once said and I agree the press is about everything single person doing their job in defending space, but when we aren't all doing it, we fall down. Hence our inconsistency. West coast have apparently been working on their press for a few seasons and it's now just coming together because their senior players are all back playing good footy and they are getting enough games into the youngsters to the point they can carry that consistency of effort week after week. Dean sounds like a broken record saying it's all about getting games into the kids, but he's right. I understand everyones pain and impatience because I'm sick of following a rubbish footy team, but until scully, trengove, watts, grimes etc get up to the 100 game mark we aren't gonna be much chop.
