I rate them this year. As said they have netted a nice group of kids as well as the veteran premiership players hitting good form again. I think it will be very hard to win over there. A win would be huge for us! We hardly win there even when we were good, but history means nothing.

It's not rocket science. The reason we got so close to them last year was fierce tackling. I worry this year cuz the boys dont seem to want to get their dirty.

If we dont beat port over there this year we have issues.

It's interesting to think he was brought in for his tactical nous yet have we seen it unveiled yet? I want the bloke to succeed. I just haven't seen anything so far to think he will.

Garland is the only one i know of who played a bit as a forward as a junior, but def robbing peter to play paul there.

Hmm to think a club would line up another coach so far ahead is prob a bit far fetched. I'd be quite happy if it did happen. Our lack of intensity would certainly change under Roos. I can't see it happening though. He was always adamant he wasn't a career coach and i think he prob stayed on longer than he first planned at the swans. Stranger things have happened though. I think other people are alluding to a certain young player at our club so without naming names i hear the same thing. So and so was blind drunk last weekend, etc etc. Usually about the same person and its really really disappointing.

Damn im worried about this game. We are in shocking form. We travel poorly. Plus we are mentally weak. Lets hope they are more concerned on winning than concerned about being the first team to lose to them.

Yeah an im not saying he didnt go too far either. Ive been plastered and never felt the need to wizz on the bar. But footy players brains obviously aren't programmed like normal ones. I think 1 week suspension should do it. Its obviously not a regular thing for him to stuff up like this. You dont get that body by sinking beer.

In a drafting era of more athletic project players and its nice to see a kid like jordie who is just a footy player through and through.

WIll the GWS draft concessions be up by the time he's old enough to draft? THat would be handy because our first pick may not even be the late teens which would pretty much be using a 2nd round pick to pick up a potential top 3.

To me I dont see the harm for any footy player to go out and have a few beers after a game on the weekends. I'm sure 90% of us on here have a drink after work on fridays right? Prob went a bit too far beamer having a slash on the bar though.

Morton has started his career very similar to how Goddard did. He has all the same tools. Saints were calling for goddards head for years. Look how he turned out! He's almost the forgotten man. Have faith. He will be a star.

Good to see maric goes back to the 2s. Has been stiff this year IMO and I think he is realizing the workrate required. Think he just needs a bit more luck.

Jones was pivotal in our comeback. His run is underrated. Sure he stuffs up but he only looks one way and you have to commend with that. He's a determined albeit limited young bloke but if he learns to work to his strengths i think he will be a handy contributer.

I think the monkey is off the back. Was a very loud rendition of a grand old flag afterwards. I know we are bored with the whole quarters won spin, even brad green mentioned it after the game. But it's true. Today if we put 4 quarters together we win by 10 goals. We are a young inconsistent side but as we proved last year a bit of confidence makes our young guns play like millionaires. To note, davey still cant deal with a tag which prevents talking about him as an elite player. I know scully is young but damn we are missing him.

As usual terrible kickouts. Coughed up a goal nearly every behind then let hawthorn get to the centre pressure free our behinds. Strategically garbage.

Just not keeping our feet in defensive 50. Seem to be throwing the body at spoil at all cost and letting them run on when were on the ground.

IN: Gysberts OUT: Watts We def need as many mids as possible against the hawks. We get smashed in the centre by them everytime. Watts is not doing anywhere near enough to warrant being in the seniors.
