  1. Except take a look at the replay, he had times where he was right beside a player (ie: Cunnington) in our forward line and was soft and didn't make a tackle or an impact. I don't like calling players soft, but in that case it was clear cut to tackle and he didn't. Really disappointed me today.
  2. I thought Healy had been quite pro MFC lately in the media I have seen. Often advocates us and seems to be enjoying what we are doing, which is a pleasant change.
  3. That other shirt will be washed and retired. Not donated though. If I know where it is no one else can wear it.
  4. I don't like slagging players but today Melksham was more than horrible. Thought he showed no effort and was quire lazy. His non-effort to tackle Cunnington in our forward line was the last straw for me. That and him lazily manning the mark after ANB was done for one of his holding the ball's against. ANB also got up to man the mark but that cosy position was taken and he then had to rush off to re-position. I mean it was hime getting up from under a couple of blokes that tackled him. Summed up Melksham's day and attitude today for me.
  5. I will take credit for this win. Wore a different MFC polo shirt today, thought I might mix it up a little. Changed back to my lucky MFC polo at half time and veiola!! You are welcome. ?
  6. I think mature players like Jones are perfect for the sub. Experience to play where required, can play a full game if needed or a burst when some pace has gone from the ground. Can provide support from the bench and doesn't stiffle development like having a younger player on only limited or no game time. If he was sub a few weeks in a row it wouldn't have a severe impact on his residual fitness and less soreness slowing him down.
  7. Wow, I missed that.
  8. Female yoda is Yaddle in a board game we have.
  9. Must have their eye on someone in the mid season draft.
  10. I agree, he was about the only one with trade currency at the time.
  11. I caught a little bit of the Dogs v GWS VFL game the other day. I was really surprised by his size. Much bigger and taller than I remember. Looking forward to seeing him again tonight to confirm or realign my view. I liked Mitch but he did just seem to keep getting injured. Wish him well.
  12. Fraser Island, the Whitsundays, Noosa, Hinchinbrook, Katherine Gorge, Broome, Kangaroo Island, Albury - everywhere. Great nation go and see it.
  13. So, you don't get out of Victoria much then.
  14. Sounds like a team of droids!!
  15. It was always my opinion that we were happy to trade him because he was one of the few we had with trade currency at the time and he probably wasn't the greatest for rebuilding our culture. So I saw him as sort of pushed to go and we didn't try very hard to keep him. The issue came though when he chose Collingwood and they chased him, instead of Gold Coast (iirc). So the deal and currency for him lessened but we were stuck. And no, I wouldn't want him back.
  16. That is just terrible salary cap management!!
  17. What, no draft concessions or priority picks for Gold Coast? That seems a little unusual by the AFL.
  18. As weird as seeing clips of early Nate Jones with hair!!
  19. Matty Whelan went alright too.
  20. I ordered one of ours for my daughters birthday yesterday, along with the number 2 to go on it. Was only limited sizes available so I miss out unfortunately. I think it is a great jumper. (Didn't see those scarves on the website though)
  21. It looks like Joeboy has been copied by foxsports with their every team summed up in 3 words. Hope you get royalties. P.s always love this to thread to see how people differ on players. Please keep it up.
  22. Harmes is also injured. Broken wrist.
  23. I think he moves pretty well for a 19 yo in the forward line. Got himself in some dangerous spots on the weekend and if he clunked a few of his marks early close to goal would likely have kicked a few. Still created a contest, wasn't easily outmarked. I think he will be a beaut in the forwardline and will keep getting better as he learns and matures. He will also become an excellent ruck.
  24. That was a no win situation for Trac. He was in a set up. He knew it going in and no doubt so did the club and his manager. He stayed to script. He was no more nervous or unconvincing in his responses to last time he was on the show. Will get better but a long way to go as a media performer. I don't know what people expect from him. He hasn't knocked back an offer from the club or anything like that.
