Who are the most annoying three players in the AFL?
Jerry Lundergard replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
Way to cool for school is Beams. How about you show a bit of emotion every now and then, because if you played for us, you would barely have a look in front of goals. -
We need a Tigers upset tomorrow. Not out of the question. There has been no upsets yet this round, so hopefully we see a couple tomorrow.

I am really start to have plenty of hate for Hurley, the way he has to do his hair every time he marks the ball and knows he is on camera. It's right up there with Nadal and his arse picking. -
The only other recent blatant tanking was one by Carlton. Lucky for them it was done by one of their own, and who will never, ever even go close to alluding to it like Bailey did. How are we to know though that Bailey himself wasn't an architect himself behind the whole stratedgy?

I would agree with this, because it wouldn't be fair that big Maxy Gawn(with Morts) cruised by me on Chapel St. at around 1.30am on the same night looking pretty happy with themselves, and he gets a game this week. Not really sure how I felt about it at the time, because I am all for players have got to live, but there are plenty of other nights to be out and about isn't there? If they had just walked by, I would have worn it, but they were in party mode. I think there must be more to the Sylvia thing we don't know about.

The comment was made from the perspective of where we sit currently in the landscape. It wasn't a historical reference. We are a shizen club at present. Garry was great IMO.

Other clubs would be seriously targeting our players atm with all the unrest that is circulating. We are fast becoming the Victorian Port Power.

And Simon Buckley can be a weapon too. And Kyle Cheney can hold up a defensive post adequately in a good team. In fact, i reckon you could have taken any one of our 22 that played on Saturday, and put them in the Pies, Cats or Hawks team on the weekend, and they would have looked alright. How good would have Alex Fasolo looked playing in the Red and Blue at Skilled? We need players who are going to raise their game and those around them to another level. Sylvia has had 7 or 8 years to show these qualities, but has failed along with just about every other player drafted into our club in and around his era.

I brushed by Cale Morton and Max Gawn at about 1.30am on Chapel St. on Saturday night/Sunday morning. They appeared to be in a very jovial mood. Considering the club had just gone own by a combined 58 goals that day, I would have that out in a public would be he last place you would want to be seen. But then I remembered just how much the players looked like they gave a [censored] on Saturday, and realized that it was probably appropriate.

I watched the interview last night, and thought Green did about as well as I would expect him to do. Not quite the train wreck, but maybe that's because I had my expectations lowered due to this thread. However, the part that annoyed me the most was when they highlighted a passgae of play involving Green, Moloney and Jamar. The passage of play in question was one that I can remember quite vividly from watching the game at the G on Sunday, so it was interesting that it was replayed On The Couch, and on the telecast when I watched it back. I thought Greens effort in this passage was pathetic, and it reminded me of what Dermie had said about Green when it came to 2nd and 3rd efforts. When Green was asked about it by the panel, it seemed to me that he was excusing himself because he made the original spoil. I think the words were to the affect of"a spoil was made and then they pick up the ball and waltz through a couple of tackles" P*ssweak Green! You had a chance to kill the play by following up your first spoil with a strong tackle and killing the play, however you were satisfied with your first effort and the rest of that play ensued because of it. I can guarantee the Luke Hodge would not have done a similar thing. Green should have put up his hand and taken responsibilty for that act, but he passed the buck, and that is why I am rapidly losing confidence in him as a captain. I wonder if the players are/

Maybe Dunn will play a tagging role on either Hodge or Sewell. Has had good tagging games on bigger/slower mids like Jobe.

I would like to see Petterd play a negating role on Suckling. He is one of the best kicks in the league, and sets them up by hitting targets 50-60mts downfield with precision. He should also drag him back closer to goals and look to expose him defensively like he did Johncock.

What was Emma Quayle watching up there in Darwin? No room for the number 34 in her best 8 players. WTF????

First goal kicker Anyone?
Jerry Lundergard replied to east gippsland demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
I had Ricky and won $100. Anyone ever notice how early the TAB must get the team info, because they always seem to have subs and players starting on the bench at very long odds, way before the game starts. Yet if we have this info and punt on it, it is seen as immoral???? -
I was at one stage thinking along the lines of many in saying that his press conference claiming that he hadn't been approached or signed was enough to believe he was staying, however upon more thought, it is quite easy to say these things knowing that when you eventually do go to GWS, you can just claim you made up your mind at seasons end and there is no proof to say otherwise. Nobody will believe him, but it is an out clause nonetheless.

Surely if the likes of Stevo and Schwarz are all but sure from their sources, then the club would have to have a fairly good idea as well. I am in the Paul Roos camp that if a player has committed to another club, then see you later. Go play in the Casey 2's for the rest of the year, and get ready for a beat down in 2012 Scully. I am not concerned about our finals chances by demoting Scully, we are not going to advance even if we do sneak into a lower spot of the eight. If Scully was such the "outstanding" individual he is claimed to be, then he would see the damage that this scenario is doing to the club and fix it if he was willing. He aint willing!

"Mamma, Mamma. There's far too many of you crying" And my vote for the worst lyrics ever in a hit song are "Red light, yellow light, green light, go!" From Def Leppards "classic", Pour Some Sugar On Me.(the song title comes in a close second) Genius.

He could always go to the Pies, and in the 2nd year of his contract put off all negotiations until the end of that year........

Big Bash player signings

I really like the Renegades team, but they play at shittyhad....Might have to jump on the Stars.

If you did the ladder predictor last week, I wonder if you would have had the Bombers beating the Cats......

I think the reason Green didn't play forward much was because he had Dale Morris on him, who was tearing him a new one. He is a hell of a defender and often punches well above his weight, so therefore covering Green was no problem for him. I can understand the FD wanting to drag other defenders such as Gilbee and Murphy back to goal, but unfortunately, either our delivery was crap, or they got good numbers back to help.

The trend in modern footy is to have your best kicks behind the ball, and although many people want to play Davey as a small forward, I still beleive we need his kicking skills to get through the press, so I would have him back. We all know he really struggles to break a hard tag, but if you take Fridays game as a case in point, the Bulldogs would have to decide on who to send Picken to, Davey or Scully, they don't have enough stoppers to cover both. It is a compliment that most coaches see Davey as such a damaging player that the send their no.1 tagger to him, but now we have all our best midfielders up and running, it means others like Scully are a chance to run rampant.
