I'd go with Jetta.

Hello Nicholson and Evans?
-
Nothing wrong with Bartel, that would be great. But he still aint Chris Judd(D.Martin)!
-
It's funny that now Richmond are the new Melbourne, playing exciting football, taking risks, playing on, etc...
-
Rnd 9 - Saints 10 - Carlton 11 - Essendon 12 - Pies 13 - Dockers If we are in the 8 after rnd 13, then you can assume we deserve to be there. That would equate to a footballing miracle at this stage.

If the rebuilding process only started last year, what were we doing the 2 years prior to that? Challenging for the flag?

On that argument, how does Morton get a game? Bate has to come in on todays performance. For all his faults, he is one player who can present a target all day for us, and usually uses it well when he gets it.
-
56 i think. I really liked the look of him. Quick, composed and a neat disposal. Will hopefully get a game later in the year, when we are most likely out of finals contention.

I am no recruiter, and am not here to blow my own trumpet, but when i watched the games from the U/18 champs two years ago on Foxtel, the two players I liked the look of and thought would be great to see in Melbourne colours were Jack Darling and Dustin Martin. Now i have no problem with Trengove, he looks like he will be a fine player, but Martin to me is everything we yearn for at Melbourne, we have all seen him play so there is no need to describe him. In Darling I saw a player who had great presence on the field, who looked to love everything physical about the game. Another quality sorely lacking at MFC. The only question remains, if they were drafted to our club, would our culture, game style or whatever actually drag them down to a level they are currently not playing at? Three years on from our superdrafts, instead of people talking about Watss, Scully, Trengove, Strauss, Blease and Gysberts. They are all talking about Hurley, Hill, Martin, Darling and Fyfe.

Absolute f***ing rubbish quarter of football! The modern game has arrived and we have been late to the station and missed the train. Pathetic.

I would send Ricky straight into the forward line in the starting 18, as i think he has been dealt a harsh hand so far this season. I would also consider moving Dunn back to a tagging role on Priddis, who killed us last year. I know he doesn't do it much anymore, but he blanketed Jobe early in the Bombers game last year, and seems well suited to the bigger bodied one paced midfielders. I haven't decided who to leave out though, as I would like to see Watts get a go on the larger Patersons Stadium.

Can we please not start Rivers on Kennedy again and let him get off to a flyer like last year. Riv has been in good form, but is too slow on the lead for JK, and may be better suited using his experience on Darling. Garland goes to JK, and Chippa to the big Q.

He is our own Jimmy Bartel.
-
Herald Sun I wonder what the rumblings are he talks of, and who they are?

Gysser is a big chance to win the whole thing if he plays the year out in the seniors.
-
= Pat Malone.

I too would like to see us win well, but I also want a tough performance. I just watched our toughness being questioned on AFL 360 on Fox, and it has been the same cultural perception we have had for a long time at our club, and I am sick of it, because I know they are right. We are a soft football team, and we have been for a long time.
-
My bad. I missed that one.
-
I like it. Bench: Watts, Petterd, Dunn. Jones(Sub) Warnock may come in for Garland. Also good luck to Dylan Grimes who makes his debut for the Tigers even though we know his heart beats true.
-
I am starting to get the feeling we have a plan of drafting athletic versatile types, whilst overlooking anyone with a slight query of character, speed or athleticism. I would love a Hurley or Darling type in our forward line, but fear we may have more of the Westoff types.

I think it could be a good week to bring in Juice, as we have the Lions followed by Gold Coast, it is a good chance for him to gain some belief at senior level. We all saw what a spud like Thornton was able to do to the Suns defence, so there is no reason Juice couldn't do the same.

Demonland Player of the Year Round 2
Jerry Lundergard replied to Bang Bang Bang's topic in Melbourne Demons
5. Tapscott 4. Martin That's about it for me. -
our midfield is a joke. Get your f***ing hands on the pill!!!!!!!

I never want to see a player hold the ball above his head when we have momentum again. We had it all in the 2nd qtr, but with about 5 mins to go Davey held gave the signal, and we never got it back again. Garbage performance!

I went last night, so that's 2 games live for me this year for 2 draws! I usually hate watching the Saints games, but last nights game was pretty entertaining. I found that the Saints looked to move the ball a little quicker last night, but it actually exposed their lack of leg speed on the G when they play a faster style on that ground. The Bombers next week at Etihad will be an interesting match. They are basically the Bombers [censored]!
