  1. From the outside looking in it's very hard to tell what they contribute in an on-field & off-field capacity. For example, back in 2007-2008 , when off-field, James MacDonald was a ray of sunshine that kept the spirit around the club up; quite different to his ferocious demeanour on-field. As far as Nathan and 300 games go, it shouldn't be something the club 'gets him to'. If he gets there it should be on merit only. 300 games or not, he's carved out an impressive career.
  2. Two weeks ago I would have labelled trading Brayshaw as 'a very brave decision'. Then he started repeatedly hand-balling back over the top of his head to the opposition? JTFC what was he thinking? Let's all hope that's a one-off aberration; in which case why shop him around?
  3. Just how many Crows supporters will be cheering us on this weekend?
  4. Wasn’t he already doing some work down at Collingwood?
  5. TRIGON replied to Flemo56's topic in Melbourne Demons
@Flemo56, you wouldn’t be an ex-artillery man by any chance?
  6. That’s the thing, in an ideal world we’d have a line breaker at HBF. That’s not Jones, certainly not Lewis. If Jones plays on and plays regularly on 2020 then well done him, but would that then be a poor reflection on the state of our list?
  7. Thought he had a really solid game against Brisbane. Torn as to whether he should go on next year. We need some run and carry, Nathan can’t really provide that, however, can others? As for playing on in 2020, a lot will depend upon who we can bring into the club and what role(s) that would leave open to him.
  8. Solid post. Nailing the 2 top 25 picks, along with a bargain basement pick up (Lewis Taylor) type would help enormously. However, most of our problems stem from the Chaos Ball game plan, we need to respect possession as opposed to counting possessions.
  9. Whilst he struggled today, I’m quite optimistic about Baker’s prospects.
  10. Goodwin: architect of disaster
  11. Congratulations to Brisbane. I admire how they’ve gone about their rebuild and their style style of play.
  12. He seems to be playing more between the 50 metres arc and centre, and looks more comfortable and effective for it.
  13. Building a winning culture - one of delivering right here, right now - is paramount.
  14. Ryan hung - Dieter crucified!
  15. You do have a point. However, it’s a great antidote to much of the robotic football we currently endure (across most teams).
  16. 6 Gawn 5 Viney 4 Lockhart 3 Frost 2 Oliver 1 May
  17. You married Gil’s sister?
  18. LJ had a close relationship with the then player welfare manager. Neeld ousted the player welfare manager. For LJ, things went south quickly afterwards. However, I’m not sure to what degree, if any, there was cause and effect.
  19. Quite right. Stratton’s behaviour was very catty.
  20. Childish behaviour. Inexcusable. It’s not even the first of the month!
  21. The impact is that neither Tony or Don are in line for coaching Manly Warringah.
