Not a bad outcome; although only time will tell. Glad it's all over. Time to kick back with a glass of whisky and some cheese and biscuits.

Dreaming or fearful; not much in the cat’s cupboard after ‘the holy trinity’. Ablett’s probably going into his last year, Selwood’s not far behind him and Dangerfield wilted badly under finals pressure - cracked the sads and resorted to giving away petulant free kicks.

Would we take $cully back?
Mostly the NQR.

ETD please go easy on the large and bolded font...gives me a headache just looking at it.

Delisting, Trade and FA discussion 2018
Out of interests sake, why didn't we pursue Hall as a line-breaker? Was it a potential contract size or an attitude/temperament issue?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
You're probably right. A lot depends on what culture Dew can build up there...a tough gig for sure.

Who is ‘us’? The media? The fans? We’re not that relevant. Only the opinions and mindset of our Football Department really matters.

Is it is it just me? Has the trade week nonsense addled my brain? Tom Morris says the deals off because of the duration of contract, so ‘Melbourne have to buckle’? What the hell? The duration of the contract between Jessie and Freo is a matter they have to resolve for themselves! Where do we get our journalists from these days?

Sainters adding a fair bit of grunt to their midfield then.

And just when we get this thread back on track, you introduce the meat industry!

Perhaps Peter Bell is 'the real victim here'... having watched too many episodes of Suits and/or the movie Draft Day - doesn't understand that they're fictional.

I suppose so.

The above, and - if Jessie's not looking at a premiership (if he was then the least disruptive course would be to sign-on for longer with us) and instead a fresh start after a personally hellish few years, then the anonymity that comes with Queensland footy could hold the answer. Both Brisbane and Gold Coast are well placed to provide potentially satisfying trades from the MFC's perspective.

Fair enough too. Time to get back to the potential Jessie trade.

@Petraccattack may we’ll be proclaiming genius on the KK thread, however @ManDee has just exhibited it!

For a recently newlywed like Bell the ‘no nookie’ approach may have currency. However after several years of marriage it may become an empty threat.

Some good moderating going on here in the background ?

One thing that player managers of potential and current Fremantle players should take into account are the new restrictions re trainers on the field. With Ross Lyon’s game plan dehydration becomes a serious WH&S risk!

AFL website's poll currently split as to whether it really all off, or this is a ruse by Fremantle. So thread page 300 is still on the cards!

This process has been anything but a waste of time; we still have Jessie, plus a much deeper understanding and appreciation of whisky, cheese and biscuits.

The problem with that is Bell's a much harder target to hit.

Puts both MFC and Freo at risk; no guarantee that his head isn't turned by fresh offers in the interim.
