  1. I will be going Friday and Saturday, hopefully to watch the Dees win and the Pies lose!
  2. I only watched highlights from the game but what I did see was Watts pass to Newton for his first goal and also provide goal assists for both Hogan's goals. Not sure why there is all this venom towards him but I guess Roos will assess his contribution to team balance in a more considered manner than some posters on here?
  3. In another thread I heroically suggested Casey might be Premiers. There was nothing in today's match we caused me to revise this view however now I extend that prediction to our Development League team as well!
  4. I was listening to it on Casey Radio and it was only late in the match that they realised that the Scorpions website was streaming it live.
  5. We had more scoring shots. (One of their's was rushed.)
  6. I also have a hunch that it will be closer than what people think, however, ignoring the experts, I think that we will bring home the bacon in a repeat of last year.
  7. I usually defer to Garry Lyon when I do my football tips. In Round 1, he picked the Suns to win. He got it wrong. In Round 2, he picked the Dees to win. He got it wrong. In Round 3, he picked the Crows to win. I am hoping for a hat trick from him.
  8. Pedo is named as CHB against Frankston in the VFL so hardly being groomed to replace Dawes in the Forwardline.
  9. I still have a tube of the one on the left.
  10. On paper I think that Casey is looking very promising for 2015. I cannot believe the Hun's assessment that puts us ninth. I reckon that we will give the VFL Premiership a real tilt this year!
  11. Ah FINALLY a Peter Greenaway fan! A Demonlander with superb taste in Cinema!
  12. Looking forward we are more than likely to feature Petracca in our best 22, as a forward/midfielder. No problems with Cross playing this year as part of our best 22 as he is not keeping Petracca out, just keeping his place warm.
  13. We nailed two more last year with Brayshaw and Petracca.
  14. 6- Mcdonald 5- Viney 4- Salem 3- Hogan 2- Dunn 1- Brayshaw
  15. Plus we were denied the Priority Picks that we were entitled, virtue of winning 4, 2 and 4 games respectively during those years!
  16. Same with me. It was this time last Saturday!
  17. The local pub always works for me but today, with my mates not available for a counter, I will be trying to access the live stream at Demonology.
  18. The match day figures are where the AFL gifts them a massive advantage, particularly over us. Look back over last year and seem how many Sunday twilight matches Melbourne was scheduled compared with Collingwood! The solitary twilight match that I recall that Collingwood had to endure saw Eddie in the papers the next day demanding half a Million compensation from the AFL. Their advantage in this area is a joke and why they will continue to be the wealthy recipient of an AFL-engineered travesty.
  19. I suspect that you always garner more points in a winning team as indicated by the leaders in the Brownlow voting. Nice to see how we go this week against the same rabble? Another four MFC players will be nice!p.s. Also nice to see that the coaches rated Watts, Viney and McDonald in their 'Players of the Round'!
  20. Maybe he can become "SOS 2", like 'Son of Silvagni' who was recruited by Freo from right under our noses (Casey Scorpions) in the same year that they grabbed Michael Barlow from Werribee! Each of these guys are testimony that the minor leagues are overlooked at our peril.Vanders may be playing against another former Casey recruit this weekend, Mohr at GWS.
  21. H my comment was in no way a comment or reflection on Grimes. It was merely a reflection on our greater depth this year and the fact that many Melbourne players will be spending their time at Casey trying to break into the top 22. As a consequence, and with the improved coaching structure at Casey (on the MFC payroll), I can see a rosy year ahead for Casey and a strong tilt at the VFL Premiership. For the first time Melbourne players will get something back from their time at Casey and that will be playing in a winning team with their MFC teammates.
  22. Let's hope that Grimes and the others get rewarded with a Casey Premiership medal.
  23. Any feedback from training? Nice to see bumper crowds lining the perimeter fence in the photo: easy to tell that it is school holidays. Obviously we either don't have many young supporters or they are staying away because there is bad reception for their iPhones.
