Can you give me a couple of months to respond? I just have to watch 101 replays!

Yes but the website shows Vince in the back pocket and Grimes on the wing? That gets me less excited (as does the concept of Bail as the sub instead of Stretch)

I am surprised to see that Watts hasn't even been named as an emergency. Is he injured? Surely they can't be serious! (Even though it will make many Demonlanders happy to see Grimes come in for him.)

You seem to have just written a manual advising them of the way to overcome it.

2015 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
CBDees replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
But we have his brother in the wings! -
I agree with others that this is a very good article and if followed by insightful reader's comments. The point about the spreadsheet mentioned by Hird (presumably prepared by Excel) is particularly significant. Nobody passes on spreadsheets without keeping a copy plus they must have been prepared on a computer (and therefore can possibly be forensically retrieved even if deleted)! If anything, Hird is digging himself in deeper and should not continue in football. Talk about the Demons being fined for bringing the game into disrepute after being found "innocent" of tanking!

Maybe he may think differently in the knowledge that both Brayshaw and Petracca have committed to extensions!

Signed! Christian Petracca extends contract until end of 2018.

Not only does his resigning bring Brayshaw, NB, Stretch, Frost, Toumpas, Salem and Tyson along, but it will make the Sheils of the world see merit in investing in us also! Our list has just got better and I hope that Trengrove can also be a part of it. -
Can't WADA subpoena?

Have The Hawks become flat track bullies that wilt under pressure?
CBDees replied to PaulRB's topic in Melbourne Demons
We only got 'a few' because we were shafted by the AFL, during the three years when GWS were feasting on high draft picks and we were denied Priority Picks, notwithstanding the fact that we won 4, 2 & 4 games respectively over those three years making the whole equalisation principles farcical. With another three ' top three ' midfielders or KPPs on our list we might be sitting where they are on the ladder today.- 122 replies

I am going with both! (Viz. Lie and 'lack of governance')
-
Let us hope that WADA also look at the role (or lack of role) of the AFL in this, particularly their overpaid Chief Executive at the time, AD!
-
Bring it on! The AFL won't emerge smelling like roses any more than Hird or EFC!
-
And it would give us five "Brighton Grammar" old boys on our list. Maybe we could enter a team in the Amateurs n lieu of Casey?

Create havoc through turnovers!

It is a shame if Fitzy cannot step up because at 200cm he (along with Frost) could allow Roos to look at Tommy up forward by giving us height on the backline. Dunn made the transition down back successfully and Frawley was serviceable forward, although Tommy Mac has the same star quality as Hogan. Pederson is versatile, as is Garland, should we need depth.

FGS don't make Watts the sub as happened last week. Our scoring rate and performance improved measurably when he came on (whereas Stretch faded markedly in the second half). We are a better team for having him on the ground and we start better. Make Bail the sub (or Stretch if he is to be retained).
-
Or Stretch.
-
Exactly my point in post #147. Stretch should have been the sub (for JKH) as he didn't get any possessions after halftime.
-
My thoughts exactly. If there was a week to look at Fitzy, this would have been it!
-
Watts should have started on the ground and Stretch as the sub. After his early goal, we saw little more from Stretch and especially after halftime. He should have been subbed for JKH and we should have had Watts contribution for the whole match.
