Delistings/trades at end of the season
CBDees replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
DD you are so blinkered against Watts that you wouldn't even acknowledge it if he got a hard ball. Watts is one of the most elite users of the ball when he gets posession and is responsible for more goal assists (and goals) than anybody else on our list. I always know that something positive is going to develop when Watts gets the ball in the same way that I do with Garlett and, before that, Jurrah. We have got enough players that can get the hard ball and it will improve even moreso when Petracca and Trengrove come on stream next year, joining Brayshaw, vandemBerg, Riley, Jones, Hogan etc. Watts was never recruited as an inside midfielder so let's appreciate him for his set of skills. His teammates are always supportive of him, a far cry from many Demonlanders who refuse to move on because we drafted him instead of Nic Nat. It is the same arguments that the same people throw up against Toumpas vs. Wines. -

Of course they want Fitzy as they can see his potential strengths and want him in their team rather than against them. If you knew that there was a guy out there capable of restricting your $7Million prize full forward to one solitary handball in a game of football, surely you would want him in your side. It is a shame that more Demonlanders cannot see the immense potential of a 200cm player like this (who is also capable of kicking goals and assisting in the ruck)! -
Michie played for Casey today so he won't be lining up on Monday.
-
Yes and it was their home game!
-
If we can beat Richmond (playing away) then we can beat the Pies!
-
We will know at 2.00am Saturday when the Casey team runs out! At that time we will know the final Melbourne side!
-
Disappointed if Brayshaw doesn't start at the "G"!
-
I think that they both should be in the team ahead even of Michie!

Let's ditch the constitutional monarchy and become communist like Red China! I like the idea that they produce two US$ Billionaires each week. It sounds like a much fairer system to me!

I see that you are planning to trade ten from our list who you feel Roos cannot turn into A-graders for eleven+ proven stars. Dee-luded indeed! -
I cannot believe that the Hun had Dunn amongst the best players (and no mention of Hogan)!
-
Thank god for Pedo and Hoges! Well done in his 50th! One of the few not disgraced!
-
6. Brayshaw 5. Hogan 4. Garland 3. Grimes 2. Pederson 1. Cross

It was 'home ground advantage' for us also. I meant [censored]!

I was very impressed by this link for a number of reasons:1) it shows the strong bonding and friendship developed between Petracca and Trengrove which will translate into a cohesive and strong midfield in 2016; 2) it is an example of the good culture of the MFC being instilled into our playing group. At the end of their careers, these guys will emerge as model citizens; 3) these guys (Petracca & Trengrove) are not going anywhere. They are committed to the MFC (as is Brayshaw and our other recent recruits)

Maybe he can get a position in the Collingwood Cheer Squad? They are all one-eyed!
-
More crucially it didn't find them innocent.

I am pixxed off that my footing tipping competition only allows me a winning margin of 100 points! Grrr!
-
In what I hope is not a bad omen, Garry Lyon has (uncharacteristically for him) decided to tip us this week, going against the trend. Methinks he may have gotten it right for a change. Usually the only celebrity tipster to back us is Wayne Carey (who also has tipped for us this week).

Loved that sledge when I read it over coffee this morning. I had only just logged on to post it but pleased to see that BBP had beaten me to the punch.
-
He was named in the forward pocket also last week and wasn't sighted near it. I don't think Port will fall for the ruse (spelt Roos)!

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Looking at the marked improvement of a few players last weekend (against the Dogs), I think that we should shelve this post and revisit it at the end of the season! -

Maybe because he was in our top five players (and most Clubs would do exactly the same on that basis)?
